WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to the unprecedented obstruction by Senate Democrats towards President Trump’s nominees, Adam Brandon, FreedomWorks President, commented:

“Senator Schumer and his Democratic colleagues have brought the confirmation process in the United States Senate to a snail’s pace. This should surprise no one who is familiar with the Democratic Party’s playbook of weaponizing government institutions and processes for partisan gain.”

“Close to two hundred of President Trump’s nominees await committee action, while another 130 sit on the Senate calendar are awaiting action on the floor. There have been more cloture votes for nominees in the past two years than there have been in the past four presidencies combined.”
