I guessing this sounded very clever in your head.
It still feels very clever in my head.  Thank for appreciating my cleverness such as it is. Now if my wife would only do as much.

Visually she's not too bad.  Wouldn't give her Horseface status.

OTOH, her lady parts would probably grow a Petri dish forest of pathogens, and should be registered as. a weapon.
Morality or hygiene aside, she's an attractive women.   Calling her "horseface" sounds like a bit of sour grapes from Trump who might have been denied a particular sexual favor by her.

Anytime I see Trump and Reagan in the same picture induces a nausea.

I should make it clear (once again) that I gladly voted for Trump to avoid Hillary, and I will certainly be voting for Trump in 2020. There is no other choice since it's obvious he won't be ousted at the convention unless he resigns. Letting the more and more leftist Dems into office is unconscionable.  Rather the Trump I know than a leftist who will continue to destroy the country ala Obama.
But that doesn't mean I have to like his frequent juvenile statements and boasts. He is what he is....72 going on 7.

Well stated.  I'd go as far as state that if a viable alternative to Trump became  available in '20, I 'd support them.  It is becoming  unlikely, so as much as we don't like it, we have to support Trump.

What a freaking clown show.

Trump could have just kept his big stupid yap shut and just smiled about the outcome...like a mature person would.   But nooooooooo....not Trump... he has to once again act like the petulant man-child he is and again denigrate the office by reminding everyone what a thin-skinned adulterous slime he really is.

INVAR has a point, notwithstanding that he himself routinely indulges in the same grade-school crassness and petty meanness he accuses Trump of.

It is necessary to draw distinctions between Trump's advocacy of certain sound policies,  which I applaud,  and his dark world view,  which truly bothers me.    That includes his ends-justifies the means outlook,  his belief that life is a zero sum game, and his refusal to act with grace, anytime, anyplace.    He inability to respond to a criticism without an insult of his own is that of a schoolyard bully,  although it can also be easily ascribed to his cynical worldview,  where addressing criticism on the merits has no value and instead the motives and character of his critics - and apparently, even their looks - must be always be attacked.

I am sick and tired of the man.   Yes, I can think strategically,  and will support the GOP in Congress that can move his policies forward.  But no way in hell am I going to support him for the nomination in 2020.   I understand the populist nature of his appeal, and the frustrations felt by those who rally to his side.   They are not deplorables, they are ordinary Americans,  and Trump has been a tireless advocate of those who pledge him their loyalty and fealty.   But the rest of us he will leave twisting in the wind,  because he cannot see the value in growing his base when it would mean treating others with basic respect, or even respecting the office of President of the greatest nation on earth with the dignity it deserves.

Before he can run in the general election, he first needs to secure the nomination.   Hopefully someone with credibility and gravitas will step up and challenge him.    While I'd rather see him or her be a conservative,  I'll settle for a populist if that's what it takes,  without the baggage.

"because he cannot see the value in growing his base when it would mean treating others with basic respect, or even respecting the office of President of the greatest nation on earth with the dignity it deserves."

That is the big problem with Trump....does he grow the base? Does what he says and does convince apolitical people or people seeking the truth to go the conservative way?
Or is a lot of his unpopularity, despite a booming economy, having to do with many erstwhile convincible people turned off by his childish words and actions?
With this kind of an economy and no unpopular war, Trump should be at a 60%+ popularity rating.
He's not. That should tell him and his strategists something, but I don't think Trump can stop being who he is.

Well said, @goatprairie .  And the reason I cannot support him for the nomination in 2020 is precisely as you say - because I know he cannot change, not even in response to having the privilege of being President of the United States.   I once thought he could - I thought the majesty and enormity of the office could change him, and would make him understand that he is President of the nation, not just those who attend his rallies.

But he is who he is.  He will never change,  and the scabs that he keeps picking at will never heal.   I give him credit for his accomplishments,  but another is needed to lead the movement into the future.

....his belief that life is a zero sum game....

Is that really true?  I mean, the foundation of his North Korea initiative is that both sides win through peace.  That just because we give them "respect" or whatever doesn't mean it actually costs us anything.  To some extent, that's the same with his view of Russia in the ME.  It is possible for both the U.S. and Russia to "win" by defeating ISIS.

On some other issues, like how China and the EU both screw us on trade, he's actually right about the zero-sum game aspect.

Yet Trump is much more relaxed and genuine among those whose campaigns he actually funded:

Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775
