Yeah, I was wondering about that.   Banana pancakes, maybe?   I'm more of a plain pancakes kinda gal.  Haven't had pancakes in so long though.... I may have to arrange something soon.

Ok..so while we are now on the subject of pancakes. I prefer blueberry pancakes.  There's a restaurant in town that makes fabulous blueberry pancakes.  Not the premade batter with imitation blueberries, but homemade batter with fresh blueberries. No syrup is necessary.

So..........even better....can we talk homemade biscuits and gravy?  We had brunch out yesterday and the biscuits and gravy were superb.  Best biscuits and gravy I've ever had.  The biscuits were enormous -- about 2 1/2 inches round and 2 inches thick, with delicious mouthwatering sausage gravy...with soft scrambled eggs. I got a to-go-box for the leftovers.  Not sure how they are going to reheat.

As for Trump's ratings.  Perhaps we should be talking about Fox ratings.  I haven't watched FOX in several years.

I have never ever had good biscuits and gravy from a restaurant anywhere. I will try it once, even though I know better... and then I know I knew better, and will order brown gravy instead from then on... 

Now that i am kosher(ish), the opportunity will surely not present itself, as finding non-pork sausage at a restaurant is  simply not possible, so either beef gravy, or be satisfied to make it at home.

Sausage gravy is a fine line between dang good and greasy. I do not like greasy sausage gravy...
I use Jenny-O's hot turkey breakfast sausage here at home... As it is lean and has to be cooked in butter, there really ain't a way to mess it up... 

Turkey gravy - Same thing. Has to be home made. Can't find it any good elsewhere...

BTW, this time of year, around here, it's all about huckleberries. Got a mess of them in the freezer... I like huckleberry pancakes, but stick with maple or birch syrup... Huckleberry syrup is way too sweet.

Please note that I did not start any threads specifically about gravy.  But I like the way you capitalized the word above, shows proper respect as opposed to that packaged crap you tried to pass off as gravy before.

I don't understand why it's so hard to get good sausage gravy in a restaurant. It's not hard to make except that you can't use crappy sausage. I found on Amazon Legg's pork sausage seasoning and made my own bulk sausage out of ground pork. The pork fat makes a good roux, but butter is an okay substitute if your meat is seasoned well.
