Trump adds rallies in Kentucky, Ohio to make 4 stops next week

President Trump added stops in Kentucky and Ohio to his travel schedule next week, planning rallies there as well as Iowa and Pennsylvania as he seeks to boost House and Senate candidates ahead of next month's midterm elections, Trump's re-election campaign announced Friday evening.

Trump, who will finish this week with four rallies under his belt, is expected to tout the work he has done for the economy and urge voters to help secure GOP majorities in Congress, according to the campaign.

The Republican leader will make his 24th trip to the Buckeye State to rally supporters at the Warren County Fairgrounds in Lebanon, just outside Cincinnati, on Friday, Oct. 12. Trump will stump for Rep. Jim Renacci, R-Ohio, whom he formally endorsed in early May prior to Renacci winning the state primary.

“The president looks forward to joining with Ohioans to celebrate the booming Trump economy that has fueled the lowest unemployment levels in nearly 50 years. President Trump will also urge Ohioans to get out and vote on November 6th to protect and expand the Republican majorities in the House and Senate, including voting for Jim Renacci in his race against Sherrod Brown,” Michael Glassner, chief operating officer for Donald J. Trump for President, Inc., said in a statement.

A day later, Trump will head to the eastern Kentucky city of Richmond for his third visit to the state in three years. The rally will take place at Alumni Coliseum on the campus of Eastern Kentucky University.

Glassner said Trump will hit on the same topics in the Bluegrass State that he does while in Ohio.

The Ohio rally is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET Friday, Oct. 12. The Kentucky one will take place 7 p.m. ET Saturday, Oct. 13.

Trump will kick off the week with a rally in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on Tuesday, then head east to Erie, Pa., the following day for another event.

The midterm elections will take place Nov. 6. All 435 House members are up for re-election and approximately one-third of the Senate's 100 seats will also be on the line.

All I know is the race is tight and Trump's presence is needed.

Who said that?

I was trying to find more recent polls -- the ones I have are from mid-September -- but they all say it's a close race.

By the way, I found a tweet from Trump saying he will be stumping for Cruz this month.  I sure hope so.

Props to Trump for working it out on the trail to get others elected.

I said that @Applewood and I got $20 bucks in the TBR kitten on 8%+ if I'm wrong.  I also don't think Trump is needed in Texas to achieve that.  He should go to Missouri, Arizona or even West 'by G_d' Virginia, that's where he can do the most help.  Cruz has got this one.
