A Thursday schedule has been set for members of the Senate to view the FBI's supplemental background investigation report on allegations of sexual assault levied on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. The judge denies these allegations.

According to NBC News, summaries of interviews conducted -- otherwise known as "302" forms -- will be available to senators starting at 8 a.m.

The schedule is as follows:

8 a.m. ET: Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, gets a first look.

9 a.m. ET: Senate Judiciary Committee ranking member Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., will get access second.

10 a.m. ET: The rest of the Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee will be allowed in.

11 a.m. ET: The rest of the Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee will be allowed in.

Afterwards, all remaining senators will be be allowed to examine the findings, but not their staff members.

NBC News reports that 10 staffers of the Judiciary Committee will have access to the Kavanaugh file, which the FBI latest investigation will supplement, but there will not be any electronic version available and it will not be released to the public.

The investigation, which was authorized by President Trump on Friday, does not make any conclusions.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., has set up a procedural vote on Kavanaugh's nomination to take place on Friday. The final vote on Kavanaugh will take place after floor debate, which will likely be sometime over the weekend.

Filing a “cloture” motion is a procedural move that requires the signatures of at least 16 Senators. If it passes in a floor vote, the motion limits the debate on a bill or nomination to just 30 hours. The Senate is only able to vote on a “cloture” motion two days after it has been filed. By filing it on Wednesday evening, McConnell has ensured that the full Senate will be able to take that first procedural vote on Friday.

When the Friday vote takes place, if 51 senators vote in favor of passing it, the upper chamber will curb debate on Kavanaugh’s nomination. In case there’s a tie, Vice President Mike Pence is also able to step in and break it. Once those 30 hours of debate are up, the Senate will move to a final vote on his confirmation, likely on Saturday evening.

That Friday vote could be an indicator of how the final vote might go since the same number of senators are required to pass it — but a set of key swing senators may ultimately vote to proceed to the final vote even if they haven’t yet made up their mind.

That's assuming any Rats even look at it.  Remember the Impeachment trial of Bill Clinton?

  • "...and the winning number is...not yours!
I still refuse to believe that there aren't at least a dozen Democrat senators that vote 'Yes'.

This entire Kavanaugh event has tarnished the entire Party.  Look for some to flip ChiFi the bird.

Must be a short report, probably something like:  "Unable to find corroborating witness, XOXO The FBI".

If polling reports I'm hearing are true there must be some defecting democrats.
