Orrin Hatch: Trump may need to release tax returns following tax fraud report

Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, said that President Trump may need to surrender his tax returns, following a report that President Trump and his siblings participated in potentially fraudulent tax maneuvers.
Hatch said that he was willing to probe Trump’s taxes, but said that Trump’s tax returns may need to be handed over in the process. Trump infamously did not disclose his tax returns when he was running for president in 2016, and has refused to do so since.
“I’d be happy to look into it. But right now, I don’t know enough about it,†Hatch said about examining the potential tax violations, per CNN.
“He may have to give up those returns,†Hatch said.
