I was one that cringed when Brett got so angry he turned the question back to the woman Democrat.  Being a person who has lived with someone who battled Alcoholism basic traits are easy to spot.  Addiction is a dirty secret for millions of people.  An alcoholic is never honest about how much and they don't want to be called on whether they were doing it.  Being honest I have to say his reactions triggered questions in my mind.   Unfortunately nobody can change what people saw.  Many drinkers do get sexually forceful when drunk.  It was a critical line of questioning where he should have kept his cool.  Democrats knew exactly what they were doing.  The Democratic woman knew because as she stated her Father was an alcoholic. I think its unfortunate at that point of the hearing he lost it.  People cannot change their own life experiences.  Lindsey Graham is off on this.  Nobody is going to dictate what people saw in the testimony because we are all separate human beings with our own life experiences.

However I do not worry about this because he has been through several FBI investigations and there were no problems found obviously.  If Kavanaugh was still a heavy drinker (an alcoholic) I am sure it would have come out.  I would have to be honest and say if he was an alcoholic I would question whether he was the right person for the job.

It wasn’t the optimal response, but I give him a pass.  After everything else he’s been through, he’d just given that incredible address.  He knew his wife and his mother were nearby, both upset.  The man was emotionally wrung out. He’s human.

People who answer questions with questions bug me.  It's my own personal cue for deception.  I thought that was the low point in his whole testimony.   

And that exactly is the issue, and yes it was.  I will say if my younger days were scrutinized in front of the public I can't say I would hold up either.  So yes the entire thing was wrong and unfair.  They should have never put him on display like that.  What you did when you were a teenager does not make the man or woman you are today.  It is very unfair that he was put in a position that he could be judged for what he did as a teenager. 

What it really comes down to is not whether he got drunk as a young man, but did he force himself on her.  If they cannot prove that then he is innocent and they should confirm him.

And I think Lindsey Graham should shut up at this point.  He is looking like an idiot.

I also can and will give him a pass.  I got drunk when I was young too.  I was just stating the truth of the matter that the answer would trigger emotions in people who understand alcoholism because that is the way people with alcohol addictions react to questioning.  It is what it is.  Just unfortunate that people saw it and they will go away with their own interpretation of the moment.

Just saying as much as Lindsey Graham screams about people's reaction it is not going to change.  It really was a trial without a jury selection.  The jury is the entire population of this country.

I can trump that (pardon pun).   The "Lion of the Senate" was a KNOWN alcoholic that killed a woman, left her to drown and die in his car, and got away with it scott frickin free....all because he was a damned DemocRat.  This is all BS politics, the usual treatment from the rats... and anyone that either excuses what they're doing or goes along with it is one of them, in my logic book.

Of course I agree it is BS politics and I have said I don't find the woman credible at all.  And of course this is hypocrisy at its finest.  No denying that.
