'I find it very hard to imagine that he never blacked out': Registered Republican Yale classmate speaks out to detail how Brett Kavanaugh DID repeatedly drink in excess

Lynne Brookes says she was in the 'same social circles' as Kavanaugh at Yale
She said Kavanaugh 'mischaracterized himself' under oath during his hearing
The Supreme Court nominee claimed he never drank in excess or blacked out
'I find it very hard to imagine that he never blacked out or had memory problems,' she said of the judge in college
Brookes noted she is a registered Republican - not part of left wing conspiracy

A Yale classmate of Brett Kavanaugh's claims the Supreme Court nominee lied about his drinking habits in college during his Thursday hearing.

'I like beer, I still like beer,' Kavanaugh testified under oath in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee. 'But I did not drink beer to the point of blacking out, and I never sexually assaulted anyone.'

But Lynne Brookes tells ABC News that she recalls his drinking habits as much more extreme than what Kavanaugh conveyed during his hearing.

Brookes, a registered Republican in Pennsylvania, said she was in the 'exact same social circles' as the embroiled judge while they both attended Yale and he 'mischaracterized himself' when describing his drinking habits Thursday.

'From something I witnessed personally,' Brookes said. 'I find it very hard to imagine that he never blacked out or had memory problems.'

Almost 40 years ago, that's really water under the bridge. Yes, on quite a few occasions, young people and others drink real crazily. Try Mardi Gras or try St. Patrick's day in some of our cities. On St. Paddy's, some bus companies even give free rides home.

Lots of people drink but never 'black out'.  Duh.

I find it very hard to believe that Ford only had one beer, and yet had (and still has) MAJOR memory problems.   I find it very hard to believe that she couldn't remember much of anything else BUT how 100% sure she was it was Kavanaugh that held her down.

That's funny. Her name never was mentioned before this if she was in these circles.

"Blacking Out", I don't know much about alcoholism but I do believe we know of a case where a lady blacked out but she was not drinking at the time. I don't know if that is possible. That's what we heard. She is lucky, she didn't wreck. She drove off the highway and blacked out.  Got help and hasn't had that problem since.

Here's another point I'd like to mention.

As a college binge drinker, I had some occasional but rare "black outs" .....   but they were only wth hard liquor.   Never by beer.

If Kavanaugh was exclusively a "beer drinker", his story of not blacking out is very plausbile.

Funny and glad I got it out of my system.  My consumption now is about 2 drinks per year.

I've drank enough to sink, or float if you prefer, the Queen Mary and been plenty drunk many times.  Never blacked out once.

Alcohol affects different people differently.  For that idiot wrapped in a moron to not know that is amazing.... considering her/his apparent age.

As much as I like ice cold Corona (with lime)... I can't drink more than three.  It fills me up too fast, for one thing.  Not drinking it that often, it also gets me buzzed faster.

Oddly enough, I can drink sparkling wine all day and night.... without getting drunk OR full.  And these days, unlike in my younger days, three hard liquor drinks is about all I can handle.  Back in the day, me and my peeps could hit the clubs at 10 and drink (and dance) until 2, get up and go to work the next am and function perfectly.   Ahh, youth.

You find it very hard to imagine?  Really?  This is what passes for evidence these days?
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-
