Collins: Second Kavanaugh accuser should speak with Senate panel under oath

GOP Sen. Susan Collins (Maine), a critical swing vote in the Supreme Court fight, said on Monday that she believed a woman accusing Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct should speak with Senate staff under oath.

"I believe that the committee investigators should reach out to Deborah Ramirez to question her under oath about what she is alleging happened," Collins told reporters, when asked what she made of the latest allegation against Kavanaugh.

Asked if she believed Ramirez should appear at a Judiciary Committee hearing scheduled for Thursday, Collins added that she didn't.

"No because there hasn't even been an interview of her yet and I think that needs to take place first," Collins said.

They are itching to be the ones to end this nomination. One needs street cred for their new MSNBC gig and the other two are about an inch away from switching parties now that their hero McLame is gone.

What about the 14th, or the 137th?

It's not like Soros can't fund a few thousand of these to try to delay the process indefinitely.

I would love to slap all three of them.

From Tucker Carlson's monolog tonight.....

Quote
"You backed Trump two years ago. Your brother-in-law from Brooklyn mocked you; so did a lot of other people. But you did it anyway. Why? Because you wanted secure borders. You wanted an end to Obamacare. And you wanted non-crazy people on the Supreme Court. You didn't get the first two. You're starting to realize you probably never will get them. But the Supreme Court? That ought to be easy. And yet, somehow, we're all discovering it's not easy. Why is that?

"Well, there's a simple reason. Republicans in the Senate don't really care about you. If they did care about you, they would protect you. That's what you do for people you care about--you protect them. If Republicans cared, they would protect you from the foreign invasion our immigration system has become. They'd protect your children from the torrent of mandatory propaganda they face in schools that are bankrupting you. They'd protect your privacy and your freedom of speech and freedom of worship from the tech monopolies that seek to crush all of those things. And they'd protect Brett Kavanaugh from the obvious smears that are destroying his family and his life.

"But they won't for the same reason they won't protect you. Because it's hard, or it's embarrassing, or they just don't feel like it. This could be a socialist country in a few years; it's moving that way. A lot of us would like to be protected from that. Our representatives don't seem to notice.

"Good luck in November, gentlemen."

I like Tucker, but that's honestly a crappy monolog.  It is basically accusing Senate Republicans of voting down the nomination before they've even voted.  How about waiting to see how the vote goes before accusing them of failing to confirm Kavanaugh, and claiming "they don't really care about you?"

Also, the problem isn't "Senate Republicans".  The problem is the particular three squishy GOP Senators who are the swing votes on this.  It isn't fair to smear the rest of them because of those three.

That being said...I bet all three vote for confirmation.  They have to wait for the hearing so they can say they were willing to hear her out before making up their minds.
