Lawyer for Blasey Ford Releases Statement Saying It Doesn’t Matter That Friend Named as Attending Kavanaugh Party Doesn’t Remember

In the latest chapter of, “As the Senate Spins on Christine Blasey Ford’s Finger”, Debra Katz, lead attorney for Blasey Ford dismissed a statement from her lifelong friend claiming not only to not remember the alleged high school party where Blasey Ford claims she was sexually assaulted by Kavanaugh, but stating she has never been at a party or gathering with Kavanaugh.

Katz’s statement, given to NBC News, came in response to a statement by an attorney for Leland Keyser to the Senate Judiciary Committee that said:

    Dear Ms. Mehler:

    Ms. Leland Keyser has engaged me in the limited capacity to address your request for information in the email below. Simply put, Ms. Keyser does not know Mr. Kavanaugh and she has no recollection of ever being at a party or gathering where he was present, with, or without, Dr. Ford.

    Ms. Keyser hopes this information is helpful to your investigation.

    I am avaiable (sic) for any further questions you may have.

Yes, it is true that it is unremarkable to not recall a party 36 years ago where nothing of consequence happened to you.   But it is significant that Keyser did not know Brett Kavanaugh.  Because if anything had happened to Ford at that party involving Bret Kavanaugh,   she never disclosed it to her close friend.   And you'd think she would, even obliquely - oh that Bret Kavanaugh,  I'm told he's a total creep - if Kavanaugh had indeed done something beyond the pale.   Kavanaugh would have, you know, acquired a reputation.    As a hound, as a creep.    Kids gossip.  But Keyser didn't even know who he was.   

Ford's tale appears to be anomalous.    Or exaggerated.

I refuse to even dignify the charge by speculating about his guilt or innocence. The whole thing is ridiculous.

The only question is will the rats be able to pull any kind of fast one that will generate momentum against the nomination now that they have the opportunity.

Ms. Keyser has also stated that she did not know Mr. Kavanaugh.  How would you, if you had actually attended, not know one of the only four people at that party?  They're trying to portray Keyser's memory as just as bad as Ford's memory.  It's insulting... and I hope Ms. Keyser fires back accordingly.

As Dr. Ford has said, she did not share her story publicly or with anyone for years following the incident with Judge Kavanaugh. It’s not surprising that Ms Keyser has no recollection of the evening as they did not discuss it. It’s also unremarkable that Ms. Keyser does not remember attending a specific gathering 30 years ago at which nothing of consequence happened to her. Dr. Ford of course will never forget this gathering because of what happened to her there.

I mean, if you back-up and look at the big picture of her imaginary tale, the whole thing is some woman saying she was groped at a drunken high school party by a boy in high-school. Nothing violent happened. Nothing sexual happened. That is hardly any kind of 'breaking news' for children to mess around with each other. It is part of growing up. The FBI would be busy 24/7 all across the country if they 'investigated' every time this kind of claim was made.

Also, if she was 15 as she claims, why was she at a party with high school seniors who were drinking? Was she drinking too, at 15 years old?

No. Of course they don't care. Their goal is not any kind of 'justice'. Keith Ellison proves that. It is all about delaying the vote. Which they are successfully doing.

(I prefer to hire females because they usually have better people skills.)  Several years ago, a female  employee at one of our clients made an accusation of sexual harassment against one of our male techs. It was an extremely unpleasant experience with the possibility of damaging the reputation of the tech and our business.  The tech in question is gay. Very shy, not in the closet, but not one to advertise either.  Very circumspect in his dealings with other people.  The female in question was having difficulties at work.  I think she thought victim status would save her.  I had long previous decided she was a fake and crazy to boot.  Our tech was cleared. Eventually the accuser was fired but not before she had made several other accusations.

Since then, I have made a couple of females employed by clients off limits to our male employees (and my husband) for their own safety.

It is important to note that none of this would be happening without the support of so many Republicans. I don't know what the Republican motivation is in this. To hurt Trump? They actually do not like Kavanaugh? I don't know? But for whatever mysterious reason, a suspicious number of Republicans seem to be on the side of the Democrats in this matter. Maybe they are establishment NeverTrumps getting their revenge. Hard to say.
