Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's accuser will get more time to decide.

In a series of late-night tweets, Sen. Chuck Grassley announced he has pushed back the deadline for Christine Blasey Ford, who alleges Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her more than 30 years ago, to make a decision on whether she will testify in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

The committee chairman said that if Ford has changed her mind, to let the committee know so they can move on, but insisted he wants to hear from Ford. Grassley had earlier scheduled a vote on Kavanaugh's nomination for Monday and said he would move the vote if Ford decided to testify.

UPDATE: Approximately 90 minutes after the expiration of the 10:00 p.m. deadline, Chairman Grassley took to Twitter, where he made clear that, despite his repeated extensions, he is offering yet another extension to Christine Blasey Ford’s legal team, presumably until Saturday, for her to decide whether to testify, in line with attorney Deborah Katz’s demands:

I am thinking that if she goes on the stand, how much of the questioning might focus on how this whole debacle was orchestrated in the first place.  Would love to see difi brought up on obstruction charges, and this wench on perjury.

There are 11 Rs and 10 Ds on  that committee. If Grassley loses just one R the Rats win.
He is in a very difficult position. Collins for one wants to hear from Dr Ford. Flake would like
nothing better then to give Trump the finger on his way out the door. We need to cut Grassley
some slack.

I'm hoping there will be a groundswell "Enough is enough!" from the electorate regarding Ms. Ford's games.  This would help make McConnell's job a bit easier and push past the "allegations". 

I'll take a 51 vote confirmation unafraid of the political consequences.  Women who vote Democrat based on Ford would have done so anyway.

Its really friggen sad there aren't any red state democrat votes that can be peeled away with the election coming up in weeks.
