Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley has no plans to delay a confirmation vote for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, which is scheduled for Thursday.

“It’s disturbing that these uncorroborated allegations from more than 35 years ago, during high school, would surface on the eve of a committee vote after Democrats sat on them since July. If Ranking Member Feinstein and other Committee Democrats took this claim seriously, they should have brought it to the full Committee’s attention much earlier.  Instead, they said nothing during two joint phone calls with the nominee in August, four days of lengthy public hearings, a closed session for all committee members with the nominee where sensitive topics can be discussed and in more than 1,300 written questions,” Grassley’s office released in a statement Sunday afternoon. “Sixty-five senators met individually with Judge Kavanaugh during a nearly two-month period before the hearing began, yet Feinstein didn’t share this with her colleagues ahead of many of those discussions.”

The Arizona senator is one of 11 Republicans on the narrowly divided panel, and without his support, the nomination cannot move forward given Democratic opposition. “We need to hear from her. And I don’t think I’m alone in this,” Flake told POLITICO.

Technically, Republicans don't need Flake's vote to confirm Kavanaugh's.  His nomination can still be voted on by the full Senate even if the Committee votes down the nomination.

We just can't lose anyone else in addition to Flake.

JUST IN: Judiciary Comte spokesperson for Grassley, Taylor Foy, tells me Grassley is “actively working” to set up follow-up calls for him and Feinstein with Kavanaugh and with Ford in light of the recent developments. He reiterates there are no plans to delay Thursday’s vote.

Not delay? Some openly Commie college professor is now all of a sudden claiming she was almost murdered by a guy 30 years later. She is even corroborating her own story with her own select people. The info is so solid that the FBI laughed and passed on it. Real serious stuff here.  This is some important stuff.
