This is why I did the poll I knew Grassley and the rest of the Repubs would cave.

This is what I told my husband I would do if I was committee chairman

Announce that the accuser has until Wed to get to DC and testify cause the vote is Thursday if you want to be heard...and trust me..she always wanted to be heard and don't believe she wanted to remain anonymous....she takes a lie detector test in Aug and then started cleaning up all her social media accounts...give me a f'king break..

From that link I posted, it's a Senate rule a week's advanced notice must be given for hearings before a committee.  Because of Traitor Flake, the vote Thursday would have failed.  The Rats peeled off one scum-sucking Senator.

And, let's not forget that we are talking about a ~36 year old case of teenaged drunken groping.  If even that occurred.  I mean why are we even talking about this?

IKR?  Flake should be force to step down and let the GOP be represented by people with the integrity to do whatever President Trump ( Who won a historic victory in 2016 ) tells them to do, like the Constitution and the Bible tell them to do.  The GOP Congress has been a despicable check on the will of President Trump and the executive branch for too long.

I understand the sarcasm of your post, but it leaves me with this question: Do you think Flake is helpful for advancing conservatism? I'm not advocating for or against Trump. I'm asking you a legitimate question re Flake.

Thanks for posting that -- I wasn't aware of it and it explains why Grassley did what he did.

Still, Monday isn't bad at all because it still gives time for a confirmation vote by the full Senate before the new term begins the following Monday.  For those claiming this will give the Democrats more time to find other crap...they've already known for months they were going to do this, and there's nothing they can do in these last 5 days that they couldn't have done during those months.

The truth is that for those complaining about Flake -- the system is actually working.  He's not running for re-election because GOP voters rebelled against him and would have kicked him out.  That's what's supposed to happen to a guy like that.

Let's see how this all plays out before chalking this up as win for the Democrats.  I don't think this is going to end up playing well except among those who already hated Kavanaugh and wanted him defeated.  If he presents well -- which I think is pretty much a given -- the politics of this should backfire against the Dems.

That stuff has been repudiated for years.  In fact, there's a lot of more recent stories that show how malleable memory is.  For instance on 9/11 survivors.  In many, many cases, their memories now are in conflict with their statements right after the fact. 

Edited to add: I don't know anything about SOZO.  Will read up on it.

Certain televangelists (false prophets) are using it now in the name of ministering.  It's positively demonic in that it has caused suicides and families to be destroyed due to false memories that people have been "helped" to remember.

I'll gladly go on the record as saying that I'll be relieved when Flake is gone. I'm ecstatic that McCain is no longer a senator, although I'm very sorry it took his passing to vacate that seat. Please, Arizona! I'm begging you! Send some strong constitutional conservatives to DC. They don't have to rubberstamp Trumpism. Just conservatism. If Trump gets it right, don't fight him. I'm no Trump fan, and even I can figure that out.    - end of rant -
