So now she's saying: “I thought he might inadvertently kill me,” Ford said.

Was this in the earlier reports???

This really is starting to sound like total BS.

@DB

It's been BS from day one and they ALL know it!

Some very interesting FACTS about the history of supreme court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's accuser have come to light.

It seems that many years ago her parents were involved in litigation which should be considered as evidence of the weakness of her accusation.
It was a bitterly contested case, and very emotional as it involved the possible loss of her parent's home.

Aside from the FACTS that this accuser has a history of signing "petitions" against President Trump, giving financial support to various "resistance" organizations and candidates, she made no report to any authority at the time, no record exists of his name EVER coming up in any therapy session (she claims she brought it up in a 2012 session, but the therapist's notes prove otherwise.), and this court case may be the most damning of all.
But, don't expect to see much coverage of it on CNN, MSNBC, et al, because it is only FACTS after all, and doesn't appeal to the emotions of leftists.

Oh! The name of the judge that presided in that long ago case? Martha G. Kavanaugh.

Yes, she is the mother of the supreme court nominee, and no, there was no attempt to have her recuse herself because of the alleged "assault" by her son.

This is just another attempt by the perverts on the left to overturn by "revelation" what they clearly LOST at the ballot box.

"Despicable" is too nice a term for this!

It won't work. Every Trump nominee assaulted a woman in high school.

Yeah.... but did they grab em by the "P"?   Big/huge difference, if not.   :whistle:

Wow.... fascinating new info, Bigun.  Do you happen to have a link for this new revelation?

And yeah, despicable is a compliment compared to what this (the usual dirty Democrat tricks) is.

I keep reading all this stuff and the only way I can evaluate it is by my own experience, or experience related to me by others.  The summer between my senior year in high school and my freshman year in college I had an educational experience with a young man who lost control of himself.  I had spent the last four years in a boarding school.  I was really naïve.  It didn't reach the level of sexual assault, but as I said, it was an education.  Thereafter, I was careful to be in control of my own safety.   That was 50 years ago.  I can tell you his name, the day of week, the month, the year, the place and the time of day (not to the minute).  As it happens, he matured into a good man.  I have no animosity towards him.  He apologized sincerely and I learned a valuable lesson.  I am fortunate it was more a positive experience than not.

I have two friends who suffered date rape and while they would like to forget, they cannot.  Both have pretended at one time or another to lack memory of details, but in private, they can recite the details with great clarity.  There is no forgetting such a violation.

I think Professor Ford has a very active imagination.  If what she describes is what happened, then she has no call to complain.  She was not harmed and she learned (I would hope) a lesson about human nature (particularly teenage boys and alcohol).

I went to a boarding school in the same area as did Judge Kavanaugh.  The young men attending those schools were considered "a catch" and there was social value to dating one of them.  It was not unknown (in my day) for the young women from the local high school to go out of their way to catch their attention.

Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

  High School?   lol.  That would make EVERY hetero male guilty!

YUP.  Every red blooded, normal 17 year old male attempts a boob squeeze.  How else do we know if the gal will go further?

@LegalAmerican

Not a good/logical go-by.   A squeeze won't or can't get you pregnant.  Females often will indulge in heavy petting but avoid going further due to that factor.

This isn't really the case -- Kavanaugh's mom actually just ruled that the case was ended when the Blaseys paid.  https://dailycaller.com/2018/09/17/kavanaugh-ford-foreclosure/

Yeah, doesn't seem like it was a big deal, a coincidence.  The entries I've seen above seem to indicate that.

I do have a problem with coincidences, though.  I don't trust them, more often than not there's something going on, under the surface.

It's what I said earlier.  She was the presiding judge at the proceeding.  BFD.  The Blaseys made the loan current, or kidnapped one the banker's kids for leverage....whatever.  The suit was dismissed.

The high school district to which they refer, is either the Walt Whitman or Churchill district.

Today, average prices of homes in those districts exceed $1M and rise to $4M+.  That's where the judges and senators live.

It would not be unusual for house parties back in 1982 to see students from either school co-mingle.

Just because Kavanaugh's mother didn't play a substantive role in the case doesn't mean that this woman didn't hold a grudge against everyone involved for what happened.  We can't assume that the accuser knows all the legal niceties -- she may just have looked up the case, seen the names on the pleadings, and hated the lot of them.

Unfortunately it's worked far more than that.  Started with Herman Cain and we will continue to see it at every critical juncture until it fails several times and they get badly burned by it.

...didn't work against Donald J. Trump.

@DCPatriot

Interesting how that point breezed by without so much as an acknowledgement.

That’s why Trump rocks. He can take the slings and arrows, and in fact, sling it right back.

Mainly because I didn't see it.  Had I seen it yesterday, I would have said, "@DCPatriot, my friend, you are correct about that.  There are exceptions and the country is better for it that he is one of them."

But I didn't see it until you just now quoted us both.  No glossing over, just pure neglect on my part.  :shrug:
