I agree it is highly unlikely of course, as someone mentioned (and I concur), Trump does not exactly deal with criticism very well, thus the likelihood of doing this is remote at best, and if done, Trump had to have help doing it. So yeah, it wasn't serious. I guess I need to make my " reality clues" more obvious so others "can catch a clue".

I believe a large amount of the negative coverage this President receives is self-inflicted:  his lies/falsehoods, poorly thoughtout policy, pettiness, childish name-calling, and attacks against his own appointees/departments all receive the press I think they deserve.  I truly believe his negative coverage would go down if he stopped doing and saying stupid things, but I think there's no chance of that happening.

That part of the equation is likely true - IF he gets it worse than others, that'd be a large part of why.
