 Although I somewhat agree with your sentiment, if Republicans lose the midterms, I don’t think that would be necessarily a good thing. I fear that if Democrats do take the House and Senate this fall, we will see a further shift leftward of Donald Trump.

Although I somewhat agree with your sentiment, if Republicans lose the midterms, I don’t think that would be necessarily a good thing. I fear that if Democrats do take the House and Senate this fall, we will see a further shift leftward of Donald Trump.

If that happens... there would be a natural (ie Trump would have no choice) shift leftward due to the simple fact that the left has control of Congress (spending, passage of bills, etc.).  Trump would be ham-strung re: his agenda ... just as the left is salivating over.  They would also proceed with their impeachment wet dream.
