Planned Parenthood plots $20 million ground game for midterm elections
by Robert King
 | September 05, 2018 01:21 PM

Planned Parenthood’s political action committee will devote $20 million to mobilize voters across the country for the 2018 midterm elections, the group announced Wednesday.

The women’s health and abortion provider group's PAC, called Planned Parenthood Votes, said that the campaign would be the largest ground game effort ever for a midterm. It will target states that include Arizona, Georgia, Florida, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania.

The campaign was launched as confirmation hearings for Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh continue in the Senate Judiciary Committee. Abortion rights groups charge that Kavanaugh would vote to overturn Roe v. Wade, the 1973 landmark ruling that made abortion a constitutional right, if he gets on the high court.

Red and Swing States and maybe a hint of blue:

"...Arizona, Georgia, Florida, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania."

What is an agency that receives millions of taxpayer dollars every single year doing using political clout?

And this applies to the National Education Association (NEA), EPA, Endowment for the Arts, any organization even if not-for-profit that receives federal monies.  The dollars they make these ads with may not be federal dollars but the organization still receives the federal funding.

It makes you wonder why a "pro-life" party like the Pubs can't defund them.

The Pubs are so gutless.

I know why, the Senators Collins and Murkowski hold it up basically. McCain's vote might have been questionable too; but most were votes to defund PP.

So, it's been a reflection on those Senators. Again, the House defunded with no problems.

Sounds nice, but they always come up just a few votes short.

Sounds like a violation of campaign finance laws.

If any of that $20M came out of the public till earmarked strictly for 'women's health'.

Might even be money laundering and mail fraud too.

And yet the President keeps signing spending bills that fully funds them.

Tell me once again why us taxpayers are funding PP when they are engaged in this degree of political activity?

Seems a condition of receiving funds should be minimizing this activity.

That's my thought too. If they can raise $20 mil at the drop of the hat...they clearly don't need government funding.

It seems like the democrats have a platform based mainly on two things:  1) the ability to kill babies at will and 2) stopping people from owning guns presumably because they can then kill people at will.

Agreed. Simplify it even further.

Killing doesn't bother them at all.

So long as They are the only ones choosing who gets killed.

Well I know this guy didn't cause the GOP to abandon their principles.

Some one is responsible for the GOP suicide.
