HAHAHAHA that is Great!
Hey guys, @Once-Ler is suddenly 'concerned' about condemning a GOP President

@240B
I stopped being concerned about the GOP 2 years ago when I stopped voting.  I'm just watching, with morbid fascination, the destruction of the GOP from within.

Maybe. I don't think so. I can't really imagine a demographic that would be interested in reading about McCain. I really believe that once the McCain circus ends, we will never hear anything about him again. I could be wrong, but I can already feel the doubts creeping into the Left base with so many of them starting to ask, What the hell are we doing honoring this warmongering creep?

Just like the whole #metoo thing died down, after they realized it wasn't going to bring down Trump with it.

I understand where you are coming from.

John McCain was not a Republican. Neither is his good buddy Flake. What happens to McCain has nothing to do with the GOP.

McCain was not a Republican or a Democrat. McCain was a McCainocrat. Whatever suited his personal agenda is what he did regardless of the good of any political Party or the good of the country. McCain only did whatever benefited him personally. If there was some side benefit to America or to any political party, it was purely coincidental.

I don't agree McCain has nothing to do with the GOP, and I tend to think he was McCain because he thought that was the right thing to do.  You don't have to agree he was doing the right thing to recognize that most people do the wrong thing for the best intentions.

There ain't much difference between McCain, Flake, Murkowski, Collins, Graham, Corker, Gardner, Alexander, Isakson, Rubio, Heller, Tillis, and Hoeven on immigration.  There ain't no difference between the rats and the GOP on big government spending, and I wouldn't bet money there are 50 votes for Kavanaugh in the Senate before next Jan.

Celebrating the victory of McCain's death is pyrrhic victory that becomes more disastrous with every Republican voter who is repulsed.  Party On Garth.

Meanwhile, nobody worth mentioning is repulsed by this Wellstone II fiasco.

Did you see the Wellstone memorial/political rally?  I can't imagine you did because McCain's funeral was the antithesis of Wellstone.

I saw them both, and I would not call the McCain funeral the "antithesis" of the Wellstone.  It was remarkably similar.  We're just going to disagree about this shameful event.  If you are applauding the collapse of the GOP, well, there it is.

Repulsed by what? I do not understand what you are referring to here. While there are groups Left and Right and people all over the world celebrating the death of McCain, I don't see what this has to do with the GOP.

This is a natural response to a very controversial politician, who was clinging to his seat like every crackpot dictator does right up until the second of his very death. There is no honor in that. That was pure spite. And his hate was directed at the GOP and at Trump.

I simply cannot imagine how the death of this guy will have any effect on any election. He was a duplicitous opportunist. And right up to the time he croaked, he was basically hated by both sides. The Democrats had more love for him because more often than not he sided with them. But even the Dems did not trust him. And rightfully so.

Perhaps we perceive things differently...for instance I don't remember applauding or even smiling while writing about the demise of the GOP.  Yet you perceive that as possible.

You have said before (no, I'm not digging it out right now) that you wish for the demise of the GOP.  I don't think I'm wrong on this.  Probably got the exact words wrong, I know how you are very careful parsing.

Here's a meme about yesterday's Funeral, and why I say it's just a different flavor of Wellstone.

Even the New York Post didn't buy it...

People commented.  No tears, no snot nose, no Kleenex.  What an act.  They are NOT republicans. That should be obvious by now.

You are wrong.  I have never said I wished for the demise of the GOP.  I have said I can't vote for Trump and he is unequipped to lead.  Thanx for the meme in your defense of your Wellstone II arguement.

Seriously?  Repulsed by the disgusting display of hate towards a dead man.  wake up man.

...and I am repulsed by the disgusting display of hatred towards our current President! Hatred from the liberals, progressives leftists, MSM and RINO's because their Queen lost and their country club was disrupted.  They were hoping she would continue the demise and globalization of this country. Instead, we finally have a president who is leading this country more towards the right than we have been in the past decade. We have a President who has been unapologetic for the United States of America!  We have a President who is an American patriot.

The McCain's have had their funeral and buried a man whom some declare NOT a war hero and a terrible GOP Senator who often voted along with the leftist liberals. You didn't hear of them rising up, telling their stories, instead they respectfully afforded his family time to bury their departed loved one. Yet Johnny planned his own funeral and used his final days to snub our President and his family used his funeral to snub him as well. Quite frankly, the whole charade by the McCains was shameful and disgusting  He was given a funeral that most presidents aren't even afforded.  They clearly raised their middle fingers to conservatives and the GOP. Their liberalism and lack of patriotism and respect for this President and our country was on full display for all the world to see.  Wake up man!

McCain was laid to rest.  Closure for many.  One less RINO in Congress. Now, hopefully the truth about McCain and cronies will finally be told.

Dust will appropriately collect on books of and works by McCain.

We will hear little of him. Perhaps something at a ten or
twenty year anniversary.

Is it over yet?

American Thinker
DH Butler
Sept. 3, 2018

There’s a huge difference between the solemn, sorrowful citizens who lined the streets to say good-bye to Ronald Reagan, John Kennedy, and FDR and the rubberneckers hoping to catch a glimpse of celebrity politicians putting in a public appearance for the late Senator McCain’s multiple memorials.  Releasing those men we loved from afar to a higher and happier place bears no resemblance to spectators taking part in one of the “scheduled events” posted strategically on the Fox News website and elsewhere.

Despite of the wall-to-wall media coverage of a seemingly unending series of funeral services (five at last count), this nation does not mourn the passing of a hero. Yes, dignitaries showed up and slid fake praise into orations meant for something other than a heartfelt memorial to the dearly departed.

I would hope that the glorification of this man would stop now that he's gone, but I will almost guarantee you that the family has already been approached to make a movie of his life's story, or Meghan McCain has approached them...perhaps even Johnny has set it in motion.

I'm waiting for a movie or a book that reveals the truth of the dark side to McCain; it will probably be halted or censored by the family.

Until Romney comes in and takes McCain's place as the Major Congressional PITA.

  • Ah, the air is so much fresher here...
And you wonder why Trump said so little in his first press release? Raised the flag after a day, the statutory required period?

McCain and the family used the funeral to jab him in at least a dozen different ways.

But Trump's the a-hole here. Yeah, that's it, Trump's the a-hole.

Discernment is a gift from God, dear.  It's what allows humans to determine good from bad (or from evil).  If so many folks are able to discern that McCain was not the "untarnished hero" that you apparently 'think' he was, and are able to discern what a vile person he truly was....(the leftie fawning and praise might be your first hint/clue....lol)...

that's your problem.  Not ours.

No quarter given to the enemy within...ever.
