WSJ: Five Republican Senators Met With Sessions, Urged Him Not to Quit
By Jason Devaney    |   Tuesday, 28 August 2018 10:57 PM

Five Republican senators had breakfast with Attorney General Jeff Sessions last week and encouraged him to not resign despite constant pressure from President Donald Trump.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Sessions invited Sens. John Cornyn of Texas, Thom Tillis of North Carolina, Jerry Moran of Kansas, Ben Sasse of Nebraska, and John Kennedy of Louisiana to dine with him last Thursday morning at the Department of Justice. The meeting took place in Sessions' dining room and included a lengthy discussion about Trump's repeated attacks on him.

The senators, according to the Journal, urged Sessions to keep doing what he's been doing and stay on the job, at least through the November midterms.

If Cornyn was involved the meeting is extremely suspect!

Why could it possibly be so much in these senators' interests to have Sessions stay on that they would make a special trip to support him?

I wonder 'cause the people most at risk if Trump gets a real AG in there are Hillary, Obama and the rest of their stooges who've already been shown to have likely committed felonies.

Yeah.  Thank goodness Ted Cruz was not among them.

So when do our Usual Suspect come along here, urging to not retaliate for Pearl Harbor, not intern enemy civilians, no use strong words like Japs.

Did these five hear about the dead CIA operatives on account of China hacking H. Clinton's "lost" email?

Because the corruption runs deep on both sides of the aisle.
Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Sessions should resign, it would signal the fall of the last dignified incorruptibility member of Trump's administration.  He had no business joining in the first place, it was beneath him.

Did they make a special trip?  Was the purpose of this meeting to encourage him to stay on?

All the article says is they is that they joined him for breakfast, at his request, and one of the things that was discussed was him staying on.
