 There is one thing missing in 2018 in comparison to 1974: Media Credibility.  Americans so distrust the media they will discount a lot of evidence that would have convicted a conservative in a previous era.  I think Trump is fairly safe from impeachment.

If anything, putting the issue front and center before the midterms may well help the GOP.  Moderate voters do not want to see a constitutional crisis, but Democrat candidates cannot afford to alienate the wackos out there calling for Trump's head.

Hell yes, they have dropped that low.  Thanks to former leaders establishing the Oval Office as the Oral Office... and hell, even JFK and his brother were screwing the same bimbo.  I'm not saying GOPers are lily white (well... some are...lololol)... but most of the low-bar stuff has been created by Democrats.

As for "replacing" Trump, that can't happen without the impeachment process.  You know that.  Right?

If the dims win the house, you don't think they could muster 218 votes ?

Like I said earlier though...   2/3 of the senate on a conviction is long shot at best.
