Poor Mollie, just more collateral damage as the nation continues its progressive march to God knows where.

Responsibility for this girl's murder also rests on congress (both parties), the current president and several former presidents. plus every judge that ever prevented deportation of illegals or interfered with enforcement of current immigration laws and procedures.

Poor Mollie should have been armed if she was going to go out alone jogging (especially at night).  I expect her father is regretting not insisting on that now.

You can't have an ostrich mentality with your head stuck in the sand and NOT KNOW that it's a dangerous world out there, especially for unarmed women.  Duh.

Just once... I'd like to read about a female jogger blowing the crap out of some SOB that tried to assault/kill her while she was jogging.

No, the blame goes to the politicians, bureaucrats and assorted racialists and virtue signalers who have averred their eyes to the plague of illegal immigration to the point its no longer safe for a college girl to jog in rural Iowa.

BTW those politicians and bureaucrats are among the same who make it impossible for us to legally carry the means to protect ourselves.

I was just watching a crime program on the ID channel. The crime concerned a pos who murdered women who went out hiking by themselves.
They caught the guy, and he's awaiting execution in Florida.
So near the end of the program they had some people discussing what females could do to prevent attacks by killers when they're out hiking in a remote area.  Not one mentioned carrying a firearm.

Disagree....re: the point that since government will not protect us .... and can't 24/7, realistically speaking.... it is up to the individual to protect themselves in this era.  Ignorance of what kind of environment we're now in is no excuse.  It could just as easily have been a serial killer (most of which are caucasian) or a drug-addled wacko instead of an illegal immigrant.

It is a sad day when you can't be safe going for a jog in BFE Iowa.

It is so common for women jogging alone to be assaulted and abducted. I can't help but wonder why they keep doing it? Go to a gym where it is safe. I mean...damn.

I remember a woman who got up in the early morning, put on her spandex, and took off jogging alone along deserted mountain roads out in the middle of nowhere. Same thing happened.

You would think that just simple natural fear would stop them. But it doesn't. If someone told any female I know to do that their reaction would immediately be, HELL NO!

Not saying it is the woman's fault, we can't ever say that, but if they hadn't put themselves in that position, nothing would have happened to them.

A little common sense goes a long way. But women should know by now not to jog alone late at night or on lonely deserted roads. It should be common sense. They should jog like that in a group if at all.
You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.

I don't get it either.  I've been armed since I was in my mid-20s.  I don't go out biking, walking, anything alone without protection.  Like American Express.... I never leave home without it.

You aren't safe anywhere.  It's too bad that so many people in small towns and rural areas still don't believe that and refuse to take precautions.

I was amazed back when I visited hubby's relatives in Idaho and Montana.   They didn't lock their cars or their houses when they left.  I kept thinking.... but, don't criminals occasionally take road trips to smaller cities?  I mean... just because you trust everyone in your neighborhood... doesn't mean there isn't someone, somewhere that might take advantage of all those unlocked doors.  ???

You don't have to accept it.  You can deny the reality just like all the lefties do.  Your choice.

The region where I live was always like that up until a few decades ago.  Not a rural area, but a lot of small one-time mill towns where everyone knew everyone else and chances were you were probably related to many of the inhabitants.  People always left the doors unlocked -- even wide open in the summertime -- whether they were home or not.  If a motorist stopped you in the street to ask directions, you would walk over to the car to help.  We all had a lot of trust in one another -- even strangers.

Not anymore.  I don't know my neighbors.  Most are on the dole.  And in the last couple of years, I've been seeing Hispanics and Middle Eastern types.  I think a lot of these "immigrants," "refugees" and assorted undesirables are being dumped here.  I don't even open my windows most of the time even on the rare cool days in summer when my house could stand airing out.   Just can't trust anyone anymore.

Yeah?  What?  A few executive orders, most of which were tossed by the courts.  And carry on about his precious wall, which would be unnecessary if the laws we have now were enforced.

This president is like every other politician.  He really doesn't give 2 hoots and a dam about the invasion.

It's really sad.... what the left has done to this country.   I know the founders are roiling in their graves at the "fundamental transformation" it is going through thanks to "liberalism".

Not just the left.  Republicans and alleged conservatives are complicit in this "transformation" too.
