Nairobi, Kenya. This photograph shows the dividing line between the Kawangare slum and the affluent Loresho neighbourhood. Kawangare is one of Kenya's fastest-growing slums where around 650,000 people live, most of whom survive on less than $1 per day. Running water is scarce and the supply is often interrupted while there is only a basic sewer system, leading to high rates of disease. Many people living here are also HIV positive
