Rudy Giuilani on Sunday attempted to argue that President Trump could get caught in a perjury trap if he agrees to an interview with special counsel Robert Mueller because "truth isn't truth."

Giuliani, who represents Trump in the Russia investigation, sought to explain the reason for the drawn out negotiations between Trump's legal team and Mueller's team over a potential interview.

"I’m not going to be rushed into having him testify so he gets trapped into perjury," Giuliani said on NBC's "Meet the Press."

"And when you tell me that he should testify because he’s going to tell the truth and he shouldn’t worry, well that’s so silly because that’s somebody’s version of the truth, not the truth," Giuiliani said.

"Truth is truth,” anchor Chuck Todd responded.

Truth of a matter: G is saying someone else's truth is not the same truth another person says is the truth. In other words, interpretation of a matter may vary from person to person.

In Trump's case, a group keeps up with his lies: He lies about 6 times a day.  There is no way for him to tell the REAL truth because he does not remember what he says from day to day, and each time to him, what he says is the truth.

They are not going to let him speak to Mueller due to this - they are protecting him from himself.  Good for them.
