Democratic challenger Tony Evers holds a 5-point lead over Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) in the state's gubernatorial race, according to a new poll.
The survey from the left-leaning firm Public Policy Polling (PPP) found that 49 percent of Wisconsin voters backed Evers, compared to the 44 percent who supported Walker.
The poll was the first to be conducted after the state's gubernatorial primaries this week, Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR) reported Friday.

Walker has won a recall and 2 "normal" elections for governor, so really, pretty good. Sometimes, people want a change but I think 5 points behind in a public policy (they are said to be Democratic leaning) poll probably means it is pretty even.
I read that the opponent of Walker, Tony Evers was the state schools superintendent. So, that's an interesting background and if voters found him trustworthy at that position, he might have a good chance. I wonder if he has other experience that would be helpful?
