Correct. And I certainly know bs when I see it

LOL!  Your BS meter is off by a mile.

I hate abusers of women.

That includes BOTH of them.
Character still matters.  It always matters.

I wear a mask as an exercise in liberty and love for others.  To see it as an infringement of liberty is to entirely miss the point.  Be kind.

Musiclady has the posts and history to prove it, you not so much.

I'm thinking what we have here is a twelve post troll.

Boring.......

He said that he could. He was commenting on the sort of women who are so attracted to celebrity.

That's what his apologists say.

He wasn't "commenting" on anything.  He was bragging about molesting women at will.

He chose poorly.

He did.  I'm sorry but you don't do that.  Not after the primaries are over.

I don't think that's why people were critical of Trump after the recording came out. It's more likely that they were disgusted by his comments along with how he acted during the primaries. I didn't vote for Trump because I didn't believe he had the character to actually do what he said he would do. I'm glad to say I was wrong about that, but I understand the reasoning for not supporting Trump after hearing a grown man talk about grabbing women by their private parts and being able to do whatever he wants.

Today the situation is different. Trump has shown he will try to do what he said he would do and even though he may be flawed in other ways he deserves our support because of the policies he pursues.

Exactly @bilo   We also need to remember how vicious Trump's enemies are.  Who knows what all the other candidates have said in locker room talk?  I'm not condoning what he said but it was not a public comment.

I got kicked off of TOS because I criticized Trump.  When I came here during the primaries I was still a harsh critic of Trump.  After the election, I changed overnight.  Not sure what happened but I was so relieved that Hillary had been defeated, I decided to give Trump a chance.

I think he's doing a good job and I will support him as long as I can.

By the way, I lost a really dear TBR friend when I turned around on my Trump hate.

Americans who disapprove of President Donald Trump are likely to do so not necessarily because of his policies, but because of his personality and character, a new poll says......

http://time.com/4857210/president-trump-poll-personality-policies/

Trump is proving to be an effective President in spite of all the fake news, false accusations and those within his own party trying to derail his agenda.  Interesting that it is becoming apparent that those politicians who have or are supporting his agenda are winning.

No, I don't like his character and anyone who brags about being able to grab women's female parts should be ashamed and not given a free pass. Molesting others is an offense.  With his rants, raves, tweets and 'bragging', he tarnished the campaign arena and made a mockery out of the electoral process.

Nonetheless, America voted for his agenda.  I look at it from the perspective that perhaps people were more sickened and disgusted by the past 8 years of B.O. that they wanted nothing to do with politicians and took a chance on an outsider, knowing he was far from prefect.

In spite of his past lack of character and morality, he has surprised me and I believe he has displayed patriotism and leadership; in addition he has appointed 1 conservative SCOTUS justice and hopefully Kavanaugh will prove to be a conservative as well.

I don't think even the liberals have been able to drag up a story about Trump molesting women.  He was talking about women who throw themselves at rich guys or celebrities and how easy it would be to get one of those.  But he did not do that.  He MAY have paid for a prostitute. I refuse to read about that tawdry situation but I blame the whore and her whore lawyer more than I do Trump.

The point is Trump is a much better guy in his personal life than Bill Clinton was and we have no idea what Obama was doing with his little buddies.

And the kind of creep who takes advantage of them and brags about doing it just because he can.....

I shouldn't bother to respond to you because you will always think that.  But, for the record, Trump did not take advantage of them ... he was just talking.

I didn’t realize that continuing to believe in moral values was something to be derided.

Isn’t it funny how when ‘our guy’ does reprehensible things it somehow becomes no big deal.

For me it IS  big deal...... until Jesus returns and throughout eternity.

(Not my rules..... HIS rules).

Maybe if some man had ever been interested in grabbing your genitals, you wouldn't spend all your time running around doing your little "Church Lady Superiority Dance"?

He said that he could. He was commenting on the sort of women who are so attracted to celebrity.

Here's what you are defending:

Donald J. Trump: You know and ...

Unknown: She used to be great. She’s still very beautiful.

Trump: I moved on her, actually. You know, she was down on Palm Beach. I moved on her, and I failed. I’ll admit it.

Unknown: Whoa.

Trump: I did try and f**k her. She was married.

Unknown: That’s huge news.

Trump: No, no, Nancy. No, this was [unintelligible] — and I moved on her very heavily. In fact, I took her out furniture shopping.

She wanted to get some furniture. I said, “I’ll show you where they have some nice furniture.” I took her out furniture —

I moved on her like a bitch. But I couldn’t get there. And she was married. Then all of a sudden I see her, she’s now got the big phony tits and everything. She’s totally changed her look.

Billy Bush: Sheesh, your girl’s hot as shit. In the purple.

Trump: Whoa! Whoa!

Bush: Yes! The Donald has scored. Whoa, my man!

[Crosstalk]

Trump: Look at you, you are a p**sy.

[Crosstalk]

Trump: All right, you and I will walk out.

[Silence]

Trump: Maybe it’s a different one.

Bush: It better not be the publicist. No, it’s, it’s her, it’s —

Trump: Yeah, that’s her. With the gold. I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.

Bush: Whatever you want.

Trump: Grab ’em by the p**sy. You can do anything.

Bush: Uh, yeah, those legs, all I can see is the legs.

And the part is bold is about what he's done in the past by his own words. He pays women to be silent under legal threat if they speak. So there's no way to know how many women he's treated badly and want to speak out.

Not sure where that came from or if it's legit but I do know the opinion you voiced at the end is not correct.  One woman has complained and she is a prostitute who was paid for her services.

There is nothing to keep any woman from speaking out.  George Soros would probably pay them big bucks.

Trump was a horn dog and engaged in some vulgar locker room talk but I don't think he's been evil in his treatment of women

You don't remember "Grab ’em by the p**sy."?  It's the Access Hollywood tape from before the election...before the primaries I think.  and @DB is referencing the non-disclosure agreements used to shutup prostitutes that felon attorney Michael Cohen specialized in for his clients Trump, RNC finance chairman Elliott Broidy, and I assume Hannity.

I agree.  Republican's don't care about this stuff.  I wonder if they ever did.

That is only part of the quote. You can find it all online if you wish to.

And as far as the women go, time will tell. There are at least two women Trump paid to be quiet. A playmate and a porn star. Neither voluntarily outed themselves because of fear of the NDA they signed with Trump's fixer, Mr Cohen. It would be very naive to think they are the only two. Only after a newspaper outed them did they try to get out of the NDA and go public.

That’s exactly right. He never said he “grabbed” women, only that you “could,” presumably because some of them were so desperate to ingratiate themselves to a Hollywood powerbroker that they would do anything. That was the point of his private comment.

I don’t think he was saying anything we didn’t already know goes on in Hollywood.

There are no credible accounts of Trump ever committing sexual assault, sexual harassment or
sexual anything.  By all accounts Trump is a very nice person and a gentleman around women.

Exactly @aligncare   I am disappointed that we are still talking about that to the extent that we're supposed to read that whole conversation.

Why bring that up again?  Why detail it?  It was brought out by his enemies during the campaign.  Many of us didn't particularly care for it at all but it was hardly a criminal offense.

People knew about it then and he was nominated and elected.  It's almost as though repeating it here will have some effect other than to make us a little uncomfortable.

I don't believe that Trump abused women.  With all the forces of evil trying to find every negative thing possible about Trump and with all the money behind those forces, if Trump had abused women, we would know about it.

Why can't we just let that alone?  It doesn't make us any more virtuous to continue expressing horror over it.

If you want to let the womanizing side of Trump keep you from supporting him, then do it, but I get a little sick of the virtue proclaiming.

By all indications, the young Donald Trump behaved as males throughout history have behaved. Sometimes overcome by desire for beautiful women that they lose all judgment and fall from the right path. I fell once or twice. Perhaps even @INVAR might admit to that.

@musiclady   If you want to change your party (and, in so doing, support a really evil party) that is totally your business.

I want you and @DB to know that I can totally match your scruples in my personal life.  I won't watch vulgar movies or associate with vulgar people.

But dragging all this ancient history up again, to the point of decimating it here on this thread in gory detail... I dunno; it just seems sick to me.

And defending Trump does not mean we're defending vulgarity; it simply means that we are supporting our current President because we like his presidential actions.

It's beginning to seem like I'm not the one who is obsessed with crudeness.  Other people seem to enjoy talking about it so they can say how offended they are.

Wow.

Just... wow.

So you think all males in history behave as Trump bragged about behaving?   And this is your reason why we need to ignore his behavior and champion him???

As usual - you Trump fanatics are disgustingly wrong - just like your Leftist counterparts who also engage in defining deviancy down and ascribing it to everyone so as to excuse  the one whom they have made their ruler.  Except you guys have tossed a nice twist in there "Let us sin all the more that grace may abound!"

Some of us were raised with morals that we did not discard because animal impulses overrode self control.  Something Trump still has not mastered.

I agree with all these comments.

In addition, Trump ran on issues. He was very honest about what he wanted to do; immigration reform and a wall,

Sure is beautiful.  I love how it stands there, gleaming in the sunlight, from the Pacific to the Gulf!
