Pollster Frank Luntz is the latest political figure to debunk a claim from former Trump aide Omarosa Manigault-Newman prior to her new book’s release date.

The man who made “Instant Response” polling famous offered a quick reaction of his own on Friday regarding the August 14 release of Gallery Books’ “Unhinged.” Mr. Luntz told his nearly 250,000 Twitter followers that, contrary to claims in Ms. Manigault-Newman’s book, he never heard the president utter a racial epithet.

“I’m in @Omarosa’s book on page 149. She claims to have heard from someone who heard from me that I heard Trump use the N-word,” Mr. Luntz tweeted. “Not only is this flat-out false (I’ve never heard such a thing), but Omarosa didn’t even make an effort to call or email me to verify. Very shoddy work.”

Mr. Luntzjoins the husband of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, George Conway, in shooting down the book’s claims.

Omarosa contradicts own book, says she heard tape of Trump using 'N-word'

Former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman said Friday that she had listened to a recording from "The Apprentice" in which President Trump uses the N-word.

The former Trump administration staffer and "The Apprentice" contestant told NPR that she had heard the tape directly, calling it a major factor that changed her opinion of the president, despite the fact that her memoir says she was only told of the recording.

"I heard the tape," she said, adding: "Hearing it changed everything for me."

Manigault Newman, who is black, is set to release on Tuesday a tell-all book, "Unhinged," which details her time working for Trump during the 2016 campaign and eventual administration.

In the book, however, a passage near the end claims that she merely heard a recounting of the recording from a friend.
