The article's premise is their "plans to reshape the world", not take over the world. Yes, they have a powerful enough military but I think the concerns are more along the lines of their becoming an economic superpower, if they are not there yet and in that way, exerting a lot of power besides building up those artificial islands in the South China Sea and things like that. They are investing in that "silk road" or whatever it's called, they are investing in Africa, Pakistan and so on. They own properties here, which true, a lot of people do including some Gulf State Arabs. Again, the keyword was "reshape" and that's what I would watch. They gave some large amount to some people in need as well recently. So, in that, I'm not saying all is bad. There was an article here posted that said even Europe is being watchful of them. Why they would have ships in the North Atlantic I don't know but they may be spreading themselves out a bit as we do.
So, to see them, say as we do a military might like Russia? Not at this point and perhaps never.
