Hispanics, (yes, you read that right) push Trump's poll numbers to 50%

President Trump's public approval numbers have hit 50% among likely voters, according to a new Rasmussen poll, which is good news for midterms.  And who should be pushing those ratings to el norte?

No kidding: Hispanic voters.

You know, the ones who are supposed to hate Trump with a passion.  After all, doesn't the press dutifully report that Trump is an enemy of illegals, and aren't illegals in the same conventional wisdom simply synonymous with Hispanics, and with Hispanics and illegals all the same thing, isn't it all just proof that Trump is racist?

It's worth remembering that Florida, the Southwest and California were Spanish territory. Some Hispanics were among the first settlers.

This is true, but if these numbers get any better for Trump the democrats will be screaming for secure borders.

United Farm Worker Union leader Cesar Chavez, opposed illegal immigration.

The workers the union represented were harmed by illegals, willing to work for lower wages.

I grew up in a small Calif. town with lots of orchards, and among children of ag workers.


The agricullture began decades before, with workers that were initially seasonal, but became more and more permanent year round.

They lived in Campos, in housing which was originally "company owned," but which they later purchased.

I imagine parts of the entire southwest have many similarities.
