I Concur.

Sanders does a great job of defending the president, and he needs defending.  But funny that she would bring up that the press didn't report the good stuff.  Jobs in Florida.  Its hard to report good stuff when you are the enemy.  I don't  know why people don't see it but we are on a dangerous road.  President Trump doesn't like any criticism and he has done a lot that deserves criticism.  You can't make an enemy and then expect them to work for you.

Except they wouldn't be "working for him" or reporting on positive things even if he wasn't going after them.  They'd be working to undermine him anyway because of his policies, and because he's not the kind of progressive the vast majority of them wanted to see in office.  Romney played the nice guy, but they went after him viciously anyway because he stood in the way of Obama getting re-elected.

I often don't like the tone of what Trump says - subtlety is not his strong suit.  But the truth is that his harsh criticisms of the press, and their reactions to that, have succeeded in finally bringing out into the open how truly biased and unethical most of them are.  In that regard, he has done an enormous service for the country.  And as much as some of what he says makes me recoil in shock, I'm not sure that a more measured tone would be nearly as successful.  He's over the top because that's the one way he can be sure the press will actually repeat what he says.

@Chosen Daughter   Do you really see a lot of evidence of Trump successfully controlling the press?

The country is divided with the press and the celebrities on one side and Trump and his supporters on the other side.

@Emjay

Which is PRECISELY why the anti-Trumpers are jumping on that bandwagon. He interrupted the "regularly scheduled programming" of presidential coronation by one of the two leaders of the Ruling Party so the business as usual of destroying our freedoms could continue uninterrupted,and he MUST be punished for this offense!

Just think! If it weren't for Trump we might have had Bubbette! or JEB!,and there would have been free ice cream for EVERYBODY!

It's okay when OUR GUY does it!

@INVAR

YOUR "guy" never did it because the voters had better sense than to vote for him or one of the other "usual suspects".

Suck it up.

He might like to, but he can't and he doesn't.

Well said!  The idea that Trump is controlling the media is not remotely consistent with reality, else they wouldn't be trying to tear his throat out 24/7.  It is about as adversarial as a relationship can get, and it is not possible for Trump to reverse that.

But he either is not aware or doesn’t care the historical context of the phrase he used especially coming from the mouths of people in position of power

@LMAO

You want some historical context? How about "the most trusted newsman in America",Walter Cronkite,calling Tet of 68 a "Victory for the Communists in VN and the end of our chance of winning the war."?

I am sure there are numerous other examples of the press outright lying to promote their own leftist political agenda,but that was the first one that popped to mind.

@Emjay

And there you have it.

I will take it one step further and state that people who give our declared enemies (the Left) aid and comfort by siding with them are fellow travelers. They love to play the role of the innocents,but they are complicit in the destruction of America and our Constitution.

Its beyond question that most of the MSM, at the local up through national level, has made it their policy to deny voters information crucial to them in making informed decisions at the ballot box. Its also unarguable that they at least sympathize with the most radical left wing of the Democrat party, the party of authoritarian socialism.

This means the MSM serves the interests of only a small percentage of the nation and is actively working against the interests of the rest.

'Enemy of the people' might not be entirely accurate, and it does carry with it historical baggage, but its not too far off the mark.

Openly hostile to America. Ever bother reading Thomas Friedman in the NY Slimes where he openly and repeatedly calls for us to adopt the policies of China (which is Communist, if you were not aware). Times just hired a full blown racists and not only did they not fire her when they found out they said she would be an asset to the paper. WaPo prints more lies that are retracted then stories that are correct. Most of those lies revolve around creating a one party system in America........kinda like China.

@Frank Cannon  @LMAO

We can't forget to mention CNN,and probably the most famous lie they were caught broadcasting,with a title something like "The Valley of Death",where they claimed US Special Forces troops and their "mercenaries" went into a village in Laos and "murdered every man,woman,and child there using munitions and poison gas" ?

The producers got fired and CNN got sued and settled for millions in damages. On top of that they had to issue a public apology to the men they had defamed.

I also personally remember being in Moscow when Yeltsin was running for re-election,and watching a Communist Party Rally in Red Square for his opponent. The hotel I was staying in gave me a clear view of the flatbed truck the candidate was standing on,as well as the Russian police and soldiers surrounding it,and the crowd. I had Russians translating what was being said for me,while listening to CNN give a completely different report in English on the television.

According to CNN,the Communist candidate was wildly popular,the large crowd show in aerial shots were all supporters,and he was going to beat Yeltsin like a drum. Not only that,but the CNN reporter claimed all the Russian police and armed soldiers standing around the candidates truck/platform proved he had the support of the army and the police.

The TRUTH was most of the crowd were there to protest the communist candidate,and the police and the army were there to protect him due to numerous death threats.

The Russians in the hotel lobby were mad and grumbling about what the commmunist candidate were saying,as well as the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church giving his support to the communists in exchange for  a promise from them that they would outlaw and ban all other religions in Russia,so I jokingly told the ones I was talking to "No problem. Give me a belt-fed machine gun and a couple of strong ammo bearers,and I can clear this little problem up in just a few minutes.",with the result they were laughing,slapping me on the back,and offering to buy me drinks.

Just think! If it weren't for Trump we might have had Bubbette! or JEB!,and there would have been free ice cream for EVERYBODY!

Now we have 'free' soybeans for everybody instead via taxpayer-provided subsidies to farmers that got pinched from Trump's tariffs.

YOUR "guy" never did it because the voters had better sense than to vote for him or one of the other "usual suspects".

Suck it up.

No, definitely NOT 'my guy'.  But if it WAS my guy (as Bush II was back in 2000 - Sore Loserman and all that), when he acts like a Liberal, I don't make excuses for him to justify liberalism.

Which is what we are witnessing.
Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

I can't really understand rhetoric that amounts to saying there's no difference between what Trump is doing, and what someone like Hillary or Pelosi would be doing.

@Maj. Bill Martin

Party People. They HATE the idea that a scab won the nomination instead of a union guy. They would rather lose America as we know it with someone like JEB or Romney than win a return to our traditional position of less government with Trump.

They should all get "Sore Loserman" tattoos.

@Chosen Daughter

And just EXACTLY what is it that YOU think the globalist left is doing and has done?

You can't have it both ways. It's either evil and needs to be named evil and fought against,or you just need to bend over and grab your ankles and accept what is going to happen.

Ridiculous.  Either we are different from liberals or were the same.  No draining the swamp when were in the mud too.  You have already bent over.
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.
