Trump escalates attacks on Mueller probe

President Trump on Wednesday called on Attorney General Jeff Sessions to immediately stop the Russia investigation, a significant escalation of Trump's attacks against the long-running probe that has dogged his presidency.

The remark was Trump's most direct public appeal yet to end special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation, which he has blasted for months. It also raised questions from legal experts about whether the president was attempting to obstruct justice.

In a series of morning tweets, Trump called the investigation a “terrible situation” that must be stopped “before it continues to stain our country any further.”

When Manafort walks or there is a mistrial Mueller is done.

Until he has someone like Serpent Head Carville declaring "Woah" on Mueller, Trump remains a piker compared to Bill Clinton in the "attacking the probe" department.

I don't thing Manafort will walk.  And when he gets convicted, the leftists will declare Trump toast, even though Manafort had nothing to do with Russians.

The whole thing is a joke.  It only takes one person to hang a trial.

Lol!   The judge actually had to warn the attorneys to stop with all the eye-rolling.   I would love to have witnessed that.

I haven't heard about the eye-rolling thing, but the Judge is repeatedly warning the Prosecutors they are risking their case by using language that could be considered "prejudicial" to the Jurors.

I saw this ... but the eye rolling was new.   These prosecutors are sure pushing the "prejudicial" envelope.

Levin said the judge said that he hadn't seen the eye-rolling himself, but apparently was told about it.... hence, the warning.   Something about influencing the jury with negative facial expressions.  Again... I would LOVE to be able to watch this trial.
