Unless Hewlett Packard is making the printers.  Then, the plastic compound will be more expensive than the printers, and you won't be able to get the color you want. :laugh:

In Vol 2 the weapons come out in a winner take all war on two fronts.

Vol 3 opens with the rigged murder trial of the villain in a Viking Court under Viking law to set the stage for the hero's own murder trial.

Volume and competition will lower the price. Remember, this is new tech.

Its just like any other printer. They get you on the consumables.

The cheapest filaments are when you have your own plastic shredder and extruder and make your own. But those extruders ain't  cheap.

Nah, I haven't paid much for printer ink ever.

I haven't even had a printer hooked up for years (I am pretty much wholly digital)... The last time I did was around 20 bucks for 5 or 6 blacks... And those were large capacity.

I get you. But if you go looking in the aftermarket, ink is cheap as dirt.

I gave up on ink and went to laser jets and toner about 20 yrs ago. Much cheaper.

I am wholly digital, to the point that I don't need to print anything anymore. To the point that if I do need to print (usually something that needs a signature, which is rare these days), I put it on a thumb and get it printed at the UPS store, next time I am running around.

All my utility/vendor bills come by email.
All my invoices print to pdf and are sent by email.
Onsite is paid at the time of service, and usually cash... If credit card, they just go to my site and pay for it there.
All my 'paper' for years backs up on a single 8g thumb.

Maybe I can get around to that too, now that my daughter just graduated.

Well scratch that, I just remembered my son said he's going to start school in the fall. And my daughter prints out a lot of shipping labels for her business.

It's good you went to laser jets.  The toner doesn't run like the ink does.

My first was a HP Laserjet4 I bought used for around $40. Three years later I was still running it on the toner that came with it until I started printing 1,000s of fliers for Little League.

Many years later it was still going strong when I replaced it with a used HP 1320. I had to put a roller kit in it, otherwise It's been going strong.

I just found out my old reliable Lexmark won't work with Win 10.  Not at all.  I couldn't even find any workarounds.

Its time to let that old dot matrix printer go.

I want my Windows 8 Professional back!   Windows 10 has screwed up my machine.  It crawls.

Trump doesn’t understand the issue.   He should have kept his mouth shut.

Doesn’t Don Jr. shoot?  Maybe he can bring his old man up to speed.

Banning plans is a meaningless gesture. 3d printers will never be banned and guns aren't that complicated and will be very easily designed.

@skeeter

The plans are still available for download.  The people screaming about this are the ones who don’t realize home gunsmithing has been a thing since before the Revolution.

What browser are you using. One of the Firefox upgrades brought my old Dell that was somewhat coping with Win 10 to a complete crawl. Once I back installed a ESR version of Firefox it was functioning much better.

@Elderberry

Yes...I do use Firefox.

So, you suggest ESR version?  I'll find it.

Will I lose favorites saved in current version or does it carry over?

The ESR install will not affect your favorites, bookmarks, and saved logins.

It definitely will perform better on an older machine.

The new versions of Firefox are written for the current fast multi core machines.

The last ESR version I ran was 52.9.0esr

I have since built a new machine that allows the current Firefox versions to run.

I'm seeing a 61.0.1 here....    :laugh:   I'm gonna pull the trigger.

And make sure you turn Firefox upgrades off after you install the esr version.
