Socialist Venezuela’s Inflation to Hit 1,000,000% as Country Continues Collapse

Venezuela’s inflation may hit 1 million percent by the end of the year, the International Monetary Fund announced [1] on Monday.

This incredible hyperinflation is reminiscent of Weimar Germany during the years immediately after World War I, in which wheelbarrows full of cash were required to buy bare essential items, like a loaf of bread.

That pile of cash is the Venezuelan equivalent of one US dollar. Behold the power of socialism. pic.twitter.com/fvo6vEb4sT [2]

At one time democrats held the example of Venezuela as the epitome of a great example of socialism.  They don't understand that it still is. :tongue2:

I belong to a nurses union that very much were praising the Venezuelan system. Now they’re trying to deny that they ever did
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

At some point it is not inflation causing these prices but a lack of goods.

Well, considering that Venezuela imported most of their goods, even back when they were a prosperous, non-socialist country..... it makes sense that there would be a lack of imported goods now due to socialist government corruption (the only kind socialist governments experience).   All the money has been stolen or squandered.... hence, no cash to purchase those goods for the people now.

Another prime example (one of many) to non-commie or non-socialist nations.... ie "don't let this happen to you".
No quarter given to the enemy within...ever.

You can vote your way into socialism, but you have to shoot your way out of it.

Jes' wonderin', jes' thinkin' out loud, but...

..if Venezuela keeps goin' the way it's goin', what percentage of the population there is going to starve to death before they finally throw off the chains of socialism/communism...?
