Donald Trump to Supporters: ‘Stick with Us’ and Ignore ‘Crap’ from ‘Fake News’ and ‘Lobbyists’

President Donald Trump urged supporters not to lose faith with his administration on tariffs on Tuesday, criticizing the news coverage of his efforts to fight for fair trade policies.

“Folks, stick with us, stick with us,” Trump said during a speech during the VFW convention in St. Louis, Missouri.

Trump appeared frustrated by the news coverage of his attempts to get a better deal with foreign countries on trade, blaming it on lobbyists.

“Remember that they have the biggest, best, strongest lobbyists and they’re doing a number,” Trump said. “Just stick with us, don’t believe the crap you see from these people, the fake news.”

The audience cheered Trump and booed the news media in response.

Trump blasted an NBC news report that featured critics of his trade fight.

“That piece was done by the lobbyists and by the people that they hire, it was a total set up,” Trump said, clarifying that CNN was still “the worst.”

He argued the current economic climate was a good time to enact tariffs.

“This country is doing better than it’s ever done before economically,” Trump said. “This is the time to take off the rip off of tariffs, we have to do it.”

So, is there going to be a 12 billion dollar proposal to bailout the farmers going to be given to them or not?
The rest of it, from both sides frankly, is the fake news, from Trump and the Media.
Either the tariffs are squeezing them or they are not, which is it?
If the bailout goes through, this will tell us where the rubber meets the road.
The pie-in-the-sky from one side, and the gloom-and-doom from the other, that's where the fake news lies.
I'm not a fan of the tariffs, overall.
I don't believe that it is good trade policy, and raises consumer prices.
There can be individual circumstances were they could be necessary, I suppose.
However,  I sincerely doubt is always 100% good or 100% bad in every instance.

Do your own research and track real data that is relevant to political situations, that is precisely the opposite of the 1984 governmental construct....so anyone comparing Trump's "open your eyes and see reality" to 1984's "ignore the reality you see around you" is TRULY someone who's fallen for the media propaganda. No, what he is saying is 'don't believe their bullshit, believe mine.'  He was at the Kansas City VFW today and talked about changes at the VA.  He touted Veterans Choice as a program that gives immediate access to a private doctor.  It does not.  Vets have to go through their 30 day period first and the program is about 1 year away from complete start up.  He also raved access to walk in clinics was 'a great success.'  That's interesting, since the program hasn't been implemented yet.  Then, there are things like saying 200 remains of US soldiers have been returned by North Korea.  That's all a complete lie.

You mean he hasn't fixed the completely F'd up VA system that's been a trainwreck for the past 30 years...in his 19 months in office? Shocking.
What he has done is gotten very important VA reform legislation accomplished, legislation which gives Veterans an option to seek care with private physicians when the VA is unable to provide sufficient care:

As a Veteran, in a family full of Vets, its easy for me to state that he's the first president who has consistently fought to genuinely reform the system...its just wrong to pretend otherwise because he cannot repair the whole thing in 19 months.
