GOP to hold 2020 convention in Charlotte

The Republican National Committee (RNC) announced on Friday that it will hold the party's 2020 convention in Charlotte, N.C.
"I am thrilled to announce Charlotte as the official host city for the 2020 Republican National Convention. We look forward to seeing the Queen City take center stage as the Republican Party re-nominates President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence to continue fighting for the American people," RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said in a statement announcing the decision.
 
RNC committee members voted unanimously to pick Charlotte as the site of the party's 2020 convention.
 
Friday's announcement comes after weeks of speculation that Republicans had honed in on North Carolina as the site of the convention.

The "rust belt cities" gave away the jobs. Nobody "stole them."

If a person in the "rust belt" wants to work, they need to go to the jobs. Go South or West.

Or they can just continue sitting in their shit, in the rust belt,, blaming employers, females, and cities.

Even though it's in North Carolina, Charlotte is not a "Republican-friendly" city.

Charlotte natives are plenty conservative.  It was an early Republican town in the south.  The city proper has been swamped in the past 20 years, mainly by ethnic minorities.  Local government is dysfunctional.  I will be curious to see whether they are capable of dealing with unrest.  Dems will be frothing at the mouth by that point.
