First of all, the poster was me. It was when Peter Fonda made the stupid remark about Barron Trump.  The marine in question was Dakota Meyer, who said he would challenge him to a cage match.  As a medal of honor recipient, he should know better than to pop off (and probably drunk tweet) about beating a man almost 50 years his senior for saying something stupid.  Also, since no actual child abuse occurred, it was never defended.  In fact, it was a rebuke of two people who both said exceptionally stupid things, who are old enough to know better.  For you to to construe it as anything else makes you vacuous.  For you to repeatedly convey it that way makes you extremely dishonest and vacuous.

Without the respect of privilege every prosecutor in America wins, hands down.  Defendants won't even need to show up any more---all a prosecutor will need to do is itemize the work product of the defendant's attorney.

Put aside that this is about Donald Trump and his penis, focus instead on the monumental paradigm shift in our legal system that is being condoned.

Weirdly enough, it’s about an arrangement made by a Trump ally just before an election to quash an embarrassing story.  Just like the case with Daniels, it has the potential to be an illegal campaign contribution violation.  That’s why the SDNY subpoenaed the CEO of AMI.  Crime-fraud exception negates privilege.

Michael Cohen’s lawyer, Lanny Davis, shot back at President Trump’s lawyer Friday, hinting that Cohen’s secret recording of Trump discussing a payment to a former Playboy model will be more damaging to the president than his former longtime fixer.

Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani told the New York Times that the recording lasts less than two minutes and “nothing in that conversation suggests that he had any knowledge of it in advance.”

Davis said Giuliani’s response won’t change what is heard on the tape.

“Obviously, there is an ongoing investigation, and we are sensitive to that. But suffice it to say that when the recording is heard, it will not hurt @MichaelCohen212. Any attempt at spin can not change what is on the tape,” Davis tweeted Friday night.

Keep in mind that although he is a lawyer, Lanny Davis was hired to be a public relations rep.  The lawyer who is handling Cohen’s legal defense is Guy Petrillo.  Anything said by David should be viewed through the PR prism.

We've known for a while Michael Cohen taped some of his conversations and investigators had those tapes. What we did not know was whether a tape of President Trump was included or whether the two discussed legally problematic things.

We now know the answers to those questions: Trump was, and they did.

The Washington Post has confirmed that potential turning point of a story. Investigators have a tape of Cohen and Trump discussing purchasing the rights to Playboy model Karen McDougal's story of an alleged affair with Trump from the National Enquirer's parent company, about two months before the 2016 election. The New York Times first reported the story. Trump attorney Rudolph W. Giuliani confirmed the tape exists but said it is actually “exculpatory,” because Trump suggests the payment should be documented, and the payment was not actually made.

Let's assume for a moment that is true and nothing on the tape is, in and of itself, damning. It still raises some important questions, the most important of which is: Why were they even talking about such things?

“We have no knowledge of any of this,” spokeswoman Hope Hicks said when it was revealed the National Enquirer had paid for McDougal’s story.  That denial has now fallen apart; Trump clearly knew about the Enquirer paying for the story, given he was talking about buying the rights to it.
