Trump says no president has been tougher on Russia

President Trump on Wednesday insisted no president has been tougher on Russia than him, an effort to reassure Republican lawmakers who are rattled by his widely panned meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
 
"There has never been a president as tough on Russia has I have been," Trump told reporters before a Cabinet meeting at the White House.
 
The president said his administration is "doing very well" in handling Russia.

If you look at actual tangible things like sanctions, weapons sales to the Ukraine and slamming Merkel for buying their energy, you bet your ass he is tougher.
