Try to find this song on 12" UK Import vinyl and it will run you a cool $100 bucks or so... Lets just say I don't have it... but I got this nifty double 7' with a very nice mix to share

They were big in Philly and NJ in the mid 80s.

Ever run across a band that makes you scratch your head wondering why they didn't chart better... Stabilizers was one of those groups, the whole album didn't have a throw away song on it. The harmony, oh my.

In 1982 the group "Sheriff" put out a great rock power ballad song... it didn't do much on the charts. The group fell apart and reformed as "Frozen Ghost". Then the record company Capital re-released the song (1988) by Sheriff called "When I am With You" and it went to number 1.

In the meanwhile Frozen Ghost had put out a few songs (3 albums, all great) that rocked... but didn't get much push from their record company...

Too bad, because they were a great band... so gonna post a song from their first self titled album.

I always avoided this band, I thought it was some punk band (not my cup of tea) that superimposed the letters of the band to mean something vulgar. I was wrong. It was an innocent ABBA sounding band that put out a few great songs... so if you like ABBA, give this group a try and be prepared to be amazed.

In 1982 Chris DeBurgh put out a song that spoke to me like few songs had before. I absolutely adored it, but it had a very short life on the charts here in the states. Most fans of the 80s remember Chris better for his hit song "Lady in Red" which he did later.

Sweet (and little sad) song from 1987. Tells the story of the value to talking to older folks and how lonely they get without conversation (and without interaction with others)...

The beginning is sweet, main part kicks in about 3 minutes into the song though... so wait for it.

The group (Rock & Hyde) are better known as "The Payolas"....

The Call did a great song (I Still Believe) in 1986, it never charted. Later it was covered in the movie "The Lost Boys".... Later The Call's version made it into the Waco reenactment. It is now considered an 80s classic.
