Strzok’s claim of no bias so ridiculous that even CNN’s political director calls BS
By Thomas Lifson

Only a fool or a Democrat (the two groups considerably overlap in the United States) would believe Peter Strzok’s claim under oath that it was only the appearance of bias, not actual bias, that was the problem with his texts to his inamorata Lisa Page. Yet, the Democrats in the joint committee hearing were eager to hitch their wagon to his fate.  One of them, Rep Steve Cohen of Memphis, offended many people with his claim that Strzok deserved a “Purple Heart,” oblivious to the genuine grievous physical injuries that have been honored with this medal that he trivialized.

I can only assume that Democrats believe that because Strzok was out to harm Trump, they must defend him. But linking their political fate to Strzok’s ridiculous-on-its-face claim was so stupid, that even CNN’s political director apparently felt compelled to speak out. Joe Concha report in The Hill:

CNN political director David Chalian said Thursday that FBI agent Peter Strzok's assertion that anti-Trump texts he sent in 2016 do not indicate bias "is just flat wrong on its face."

Chalian was referring to a text exchange between Strzok and then-FBI lawyer Lisa Page, with whom he was reportedly having an affair, in which Strzok called then-candidate Donald Trump's behavior "horrible" and "disgusting."

"[Y]ou should put nothing in text or e-mail that you are not comfortable seeing on the front page of The New York Times or on CNN’s banner," Chalian said during an interview on the network Thursday. (snip)

"Strzok’s mission today is try to walk this line of ‘I have personal political views, it didn’t impact my work at all,'" Chalian said. "That may be true, but when he says that those texts, quote, 'not indicative of bias' — that’s just flat wrong on its face. It is indicative of bias." (snip)

"I understand his point is, ‘Well, that bias didn’t infiltrate into my work, into my conduct in the professional capacity,’ but you can understand why, when you look at the language of those texts, that it’s very easy to point to a bias that this FBI agent was expressing," Chalian continued.

During the hearing, it looked like a waste of time. In retrospect it was a full out disaster for the Rats. Booing Louis for calling out Strzok for being a adulterer liar looked bad for them. This guy making insane faces looks really bad. This guys whole attitude was a mess.

And yet.... the left is calling it a disaster for the GOP.   I tend to agree.... since all the GOP did was harangue and wheedle Strzok, with no actual repercussions to him as an end result.  It was all for nada, IOW.

Listen. The Rats are played out. No one listens to them anymore. They make a national crisis out of Paul Ryan going to get a sandwich for lunch.

He put his political opinion in emails/texts, which was his govn. phone.  That was the mistake he made.  The investigation of the investigation of Clinton emails, said Strzok's opinion of Trump did not compromise the outcome of the investigation.

Strzok's job is oversight of numerous investigations - he doesn't do them himself - people under him do it and there are people over him - he does not work alone in the dark, hiding here and there to get Trump out of the White House.  Actually, Comey's book explains how investigations happen - who does what - the chain of command, how wording of a report is decided among the investigators.  It helps when one knows how that works.

You listen.   Never ever underestimate your opponent(s).    You sound so shock-sure that they're done and toast.... that you concern me.   Don't forget the facts here.  They (not us) control the media in the USA.  They (not us) control the minds of college kids (who vote now) and of public school kids (who will vote soon).  And they (not us) have billions in foreign cash and foreign America-hating cretins backing their move to socialize America (one step from full-blown communism).

They are electing young, fresh commies-in-the-making as we speak and plan to elect even more.  Ones that will appeal to the younger generation of leftist-indoctrinated voters.  Oh sure.... right now, those younger folks may be too preoccupied with sex, pot and other forums of entertainment.  But once they "mature" they will probably be voting DemocRat.  And they, the left, is already trying to make it "cool" and "in" to be a political activist for the rats.

This has been the go-to argument for the Rats for years.  It's the same argument used by Rat SCOTUS Justices, like Kagan when she refused to recuse herself from the Obastardcare deliberations.  It didn't wash then, and it doesn't now.

And yet..... they keep getting away with using that same BS argument.

Maybe because no one in authority ever really opposes them!

Strzok's political bias began the Trump "investigation".  In third world nations what Strzok led is called a "coup d'etat ".  This was the mistake he made ... and he belongs behind bars.

And if you want to know why that is, just have a look at that they are doing to Jim Jordan.

This is the same bullshit argument that has been around since the beginning of time. All these young people going to swerve the country Left. It never pans out. You know how I know? Because the GOP runs the country right now.

BTW if you about to cite that Commie from the Bronx that just won, that was an anomaly. There was 13% turn out in that district because of new NY voting laws.

Yes; they are desperate now and overplayed their hand.  To defend the guy is bad enough but to suggest that he is worthy of a purple heart was just ridiculous.

He really does.  I don't know how he kept his chin in the air for all those hours.  I saw on Fox that an amputee service man has already taken issue with the sickening claim by the democrat that Strzok deserved a Purple Heart.

Strzok was saying/writing derogatory emails/texts about Trump just as were Paul Ryan, other Representatives and all the Senators.  No one wanted him.  Then, Sessions came out for him.  I saw the first rally when Sessions was there, and he almost kissed Trump's feet.  Sessions was the first Senator to approve Trump and I'm sure he has regretted it since Trump is pounding him all the time.

Strzok cannot make a solitary decision about a case.  He explained there are many people below him and those people work the cases, he doesn't, he only supervises hundreds of cases as they progress.  He also listed all the people above him who also supervise the cases and supervise him.  The Republicans on that committee we saw, were complaining/griping and many times not giving him time to respond - also many made a speech, did not ask him a question.  That was grand standing for press coverage. The committee was also fighting each other, yelling back and forth.  This whole thing was about personal messages to a person.  There is no way those Representatives would want their private messages out there for all to read.

I read Comey's book and it explains how cases progress within the FBI.  Every case has a team; it's not just one person doing anything - the team decides, no one person does.  The investigation of the investigation report said Strzok's opinion did not affect the outcome of the case.

I am not on Strzok's side or anyone's side, but the facts are the facts.

LOL. You read Comey's self serving shit book and think you know something? Guess you missed the IG report that showed Jimbo as an incompetent eff up that deserved to be thrown out on his crooked ass.

BTW I might point out that Ryan and other politicians having opinions in a Primary as to which candidate they prefer is a natural and healthy aspect of our form of government. Having the law enforcement team looking into Hitlary's corruption and illegal activities being huge supporters of hers and were actively brainstorming ways to knock out her opponent is about as Banana Republic as it gets.
