House Judiciary chairman: Lisa Page agreed to testify Friday

Former FBI lawyer Lisa Page has agreed to testify in private Friday, according to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va.
“Late last night, through her attorney, Lisa Page did agree to appear for a private interview on Friday,†Goodlatte told “Mornings with Maria Bartiromo†on Thursday.
The Republican lawmaker said Page is appearing voluntarily, though her lawyer and the committee are still working out the details of the interview.
“That is an important and positive development because we have been trying for seven months to talk to Lisa Page,†he said.
Republican lawmakers considered holding Page in contempt as early as Friday morning after she did not appear Wednesday on Capitol Hill.
Goodlatte and House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., sent a letter to Page’s attorney Amy Jeffress on Wednesday telling her she could either appear Thursday at a scheduled public hearing along FBI agent Peter Strzok, or "present herself for a deposition†at 10 a.m. Friday.
