What is meant by 'influential'? Their effect on making Europe as we know it today?

By that definition Charles Martel was pretty influential.

Aristotle, Julius Ceasar, Leonardo da Vinci, Galileo, a Pope or two, and English king or two. Queen Elizabeth. The 11th century Normans as a group, settling England, France, Southern Italy etc.
