I don't think it will.  From what I read, this is a small newspaper and not rabidly political.  I'm guessing we'll find it is a personal dispute with an unbalanced person.

WJZ-13 in Baltimore reports the suspect is a white male in his 20s, who 'damaged his fingers' to avoid identification and is not cooperating with authorities.

And it makes no sense for damaging fingerprints if he worked there. Nobody seemed to recognize him, from what has come out.
