Breaking on Fox now.  5-4 ruling in favor of the Trump Administration.

YES!!!!!!!
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

The majority opinion was authored by Chief Justice John Roberts.  Justices Anthony Kennedy, Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito and Neil Gorsuch joined Roberts, with liberal Justices Stephen Breyer, Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg dissenting.

That's not surprising.

That's not surprising.

This will be one of those rulings that the Libs will claim "doesn't mean anything" because of how narrow it was.

Had it been 5-4 the other way...they'd have claimed it was a "mandate".

Now if they will just get the public sector union ruling right!

I assume it is the usual Conservative vs Liberal split with Justice Kennedy siding with the conservatives?

I pray that Trump can replace a few more justices that are long past their expiration date!  :cheerlead: :elephant:

Even if it's just Ginsburg being replaced with a conservative justice... or at least a moderate one, that will help immensely.  Two more new justices likely to rule FOR American (vs. against America) would be better.  But that might be just dreaming.... so I'd take just one on our side for now.  And barring any unforseen happening.... Trump should have about 6 1/2 years to work on that.

Just Imagine the $#!+show that SCOTUS would be inflicting on us if Merrick Garland had been confirmed to The SCOTUS.

Should anyone else listen to George Will's recommendations?

My point being, the mix of judges in the recent South Dakota v Wayfair was surprising and not a particularly good decision or surprise, IMO.
