“I often use Sweden as a deterring example.” The words are not those of Donald Trump, but Anders Fogh Rasmussen. In an interview with Swedish public television in January, the former NATO secretary general and Danish prime minister described Sweden’s immigration policy as a failure and a warning to other countries.

But it was President Trump’s unclear and slightly confused reference to Sweden during his February 18 rally in Florida that has turned attention to the Scandinavian country of 10 million and the details of its i experience. Sweden has accepted more refugees per capita in recent years than any other country in Europe. “Sweden, who would believe this? Sweden. They took in large numbers. They’re having problems like they never thought possible,” Trump said. Since then, Swedes have seen facts about their country, and many exaggerations and misconceptions, used as arguments in an American domestic debate.
But there are, in fact, good reasons for Americans to care about Sweden’s problems. First, because Sweden’s failure to integrate its immigrants, in line with Rasmussen’s observation, carries lessons for other countries; second, because Swedish news reporting and public discourse on immigration and integration are restricted by taboos. Three sentenced for Molotov attack on Swedish synagogue

June 25 (UPI) -- A district court in Sweden sentenced three men for hate crimes for carrying out a Molotov cocktail attack on a synagogue in Gothenburg in December 2017.

Two of the men, aged 24 years old and 22 years old, were sentenced to two years in prison, while third 18-year-old was sentenced to 15 months in prison after the court determined the attack was a hate crime.

"The crime had the clear goal of threatening, harming, and violating members of the synagogue and the Jewish community more generally," the court wrote in its judgement. "The crime therefore had a hate motive."

One must continue to find out the identity of the attackers, I'll save your the trouble; 2 Palestinians and 1 Syrian.

I don't know at what time of day this happened at. If there were people inside the building, the sentence should be more strict. If it happened in the middle of the night, sentence them on those grounds. Still, it's arson, I'd say at least 5 years would be correct.

Trump or someone said they'd visited Stockholm or Copenhagen years ago, it was very nice and now it has changed. I know the President said something like that about Brussels as well.

They have a general election in September.  The socialists and moderates have bled support to the nationalist Sweden Democrats for the past decade.  Jimmie Akesson is their leader ... your typical dull scandinavian, who just wants to put the brakes on immigration.  While it's possible the nationalists will become the largest party, nothing will happen.  The socialists and moderates will form a grand coalition to lock them out of power.
