Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Thursday that former FBI official Peter Strzok has lost his security clearance amid an internal disciplinary review.

“Mr. Strzok, as I understand, has lost his security clearance,” Sessions told radio host Howie Carr.

Strzok was escorted out of FBI headquarters on Friday, the day after the Department of Justice’s Office of the Inspector General (OIG) released its long-awaited report about the FBI’s handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation. (RELATED: Strzok Was Escorted From FBI Headquarters)

He only got that job very recently.  I believe he occupied a much more sensitive post prior to being moved there.  And BTW: the reason he is still on the payroll is that the IG loses the ability to question him further the second he no longer is.

Of course they do. Infiltrating HR would give a spy access to so much personnel information. It would be a goldmine for doxing or even blackmail. It is a very secure position.

Yes, understand.  But he should have lost his security clearance concurrent with his transfer to human resources.

Probably so.  But our government is not functional at the moment.  Why do people like all the players in the Obama administration still have their clearances?

General Michael Flynn has lost his house and Strzok has (probably) lost his security clearance.

And Sessions sees no inequity,  guaranteed.

Well since Sessions is a generally stupid person with limited understanding of anything, he might sill have his clearance.

He wouldn't lose his clearance by going to HR.  They might inactivate it but even that is doubtful.  Even then he would still have it but it wouldn't be active.  All had have to do to reactivate is get a different job which requires it.

If they revoked his clearance that means he no longer meets the requirements.  Committing a crime, fraud, lying on official documents would do that.
