I have no problem with
@rangerrebew Most of the time his articles on health are helpful and informative. The problem in this case is the source, Natural News. To me Natural News is the equivalent of the National Enquirer: Screaming, misleading headlines which often don't match the body of the article, and the article itself contains questionable claims from questionable sources.
Bottom line is that a patient should trust his/her cardiologist and follow that doctor's advice. If the cardiologist recommends aspirin, take it. If not, don't. Never do as a friend did -- she once decided on her own to "protect her heart" by taking a daily aspirin. But she decided more is better, so instead of taking a low dose aspirin, she took full strength. She ended up in the hospital. Bad idea.
By the way,
@massadvj -- I understand there are some newer drugs which claim to be better than Warfarin as a blood thinner. Once again, this is something to discuss with a doctor (and of course, check to see if insurance will cover).
