Homeschooling skyrockets as more parents get fed up with Left-wing social engineering and violence in public schools

(Natural News) Thanks to the incessant Left-wing counter-culture social engineering and increasing levels of violence and bullying, more American parents are pulling their kids out of failing government schools and teaching them at home.

As reported by The Washington Times, the recent school shooting at Parkland, Fla., was the last straw for scores of parents. The paper noted that “the phones started ringing at the Texas Home School Coalition, and they haven’t stopped yet.”

I homeschooled my two kids.  The schools were horrible.  Run by socialists, the grade school had over 1400 kids and had a capacity of 700, and it had major mold problems which made my kids sick all the time.

Both my kids made it to college so we did ok.   My concern with homeschooling is you're conceding the broken system to the socialists.   It would be better to fix the system.

I was watching a news story last night about quadruplets who had been homeschooled.  They all excelled in academics, the arts -- nearly everything you could think of.  They are all headed to prestigious universities on scholarship.  As the interviewer talked to them, anyone could see they were intelligent, happy, well adjusted kids.  I was thinking had they gone to public school, they might have ended up like the 30-year old loser who had to be evicted from his parents' house.  Or worse. 

The public schools I attended almost 50 years ago were perennially broke and getting an education there was not easy.  Today it's a lot worse.  The dropout rate is high and those who stay in school dont learn anything useful.  Instead they are indoctrinated in liberal/socialist/communist ideology.  If I had kids, I would not send them to public schools today.
