Tiny Egyptian mummy thought to be a hawk turns out to be a stillborn human BABY with severely malformed skull, after experts 'virtually unwrap' it through micro-CT scans

Mummy was thought to be a hawk, largely due to size and bird-like decorations
Micro-CT scans, however, revealed it was a stillborn fetus just 23-28 weeks old
The fetus had a severely malformed skull, indicating it suffered anencephaly
Experts say fetal mummification is rare, may be linked to ancient Egyptian magic
