Were it not for “was,” would you consider him intelligent?

Oh, I'm sure he has a higher-than-average IQ, but I certainly don't see any evidence of genius.

I decried his grammatical blunder only because the libs jump on conservatives for mere typos.

I know.  It’s fun to do that, sometimes.

I try not to make too much fun of too many people who make very common mistakes, but in Tribe's case, I couldn't resist.

Speaking of common mistakes, did you know that 4/3 of people have trouble with fractions?

Maybe not... but you have to assume that they are feverishly... as we speak, no doubt... attempting to "create" evidence which they could use to impeach him.

As you know, with the Left, "evidence" is whatever they say it is.

Not too unlike Supreme Court Justices who can say that a fine is a 'tax' so as to legalize something wholly illegal and stupid.

Welcome to Amerika 2018.
Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

Only 4/3?
I thought it would be higher than that!

Tribe is a dunce.  He does not know what the subjunctive case is.

Oooo.......... good catch!  888high58888

Afraid so.  I'd like to think otherwise... that things have changed re: that.  But I don't see any of the Democrat perps behind bars, where they so richly deserve to be... and where any of us little people/peons would be, had we done half of what they've done.  I see a LOT of complicit behavior... and a "look the other way" (Jeff Sessions) attitude, however.

@the_doc   Are we the only people who notice grammatical mistakes. I pay no attention to mistakes by posters because we are all dashing off replies, but this guy is supposed to be some professor or other.

Great! I love trivia. Here’s one. Did you know that if it were not for half the population, the other half would be all of them?

I guess there are other grammar freaks on TBR, but we are usually a forgiving lot.  I just don't suffer gladly fools like Tribe.

Thanks.  (I really don't like Tribe, as you might guess.  I do respect a few lawyers, but I always say that the 99% give the 1% a bad name.)

I like that one!

I confess that my joke about fractions was seen on a bumper sticker.  My favorite bumper sticker is this one:

I GOT THIS TRUCK FOR MY WIFE.
(Pretty good trade, huh?)

You are dead on.

Anyone who claims to be educated and doesn't know basic grammar should keep his mouth shut.

(I'm another grammar obsessed TBR member.  If people make errors here while typing, no problem.  If a guy like Tribe doesn't know the basics and pretends to be smart, he shouldn't get away with it).

It would take a lot more than misunderstanding the subjunctive tense for that to happen, my friend.  ^-^

That's the money quote, IMO.

We're not talking "typing errors" here.

This is a red-letter day!  It took a grammatical error from one of the self-certified geniuses to get you guys to join me in a single opinion!  A great day to be an American.   888high58888
