Orla – whose name has also been kept under wraps for two years – is Celtic in origin and means ‘golden princess’.

IMO Charlotte is going from cute to pretty and in some of the pics she has a bit of a mischievous look in her eye. She resembles the Queen quite a bit in some of the pics too.

I still can't decide who she looks like --- although I think she favors the Middletons @Gefn   She's a very cute kid.

BTW, I love how Kate matched Carlotte's sweater to the background    happy77

    Buckingham Palace said today that only royals carrying out official public duties will be on the balcony
    Snub of Sussexes and the Duke of York came 'after careful consideration', press statement said this afternoon
    There are exceptions, including Princess Anne's husband and some grandchildren and great-grandchildren
    But despite the balcony snub, Harry, Meghan, Archie and Lilbet will jet to the UK for some jubilee events

Queen won't be attending state opening of Parliament

 Queen Elizabeth, 96, cancels appearance due to ‘episodic mobility problems’

Queen Elizabeth II will not be attending a royal engagement on Tuesday due to health issues.

Her Royal Highness, 96, “continues to experience episodic mobility problems,” Buckingham Palace revealed in a statement released on Monday.

The Palace added that in “consultation with her doctors,” the Queen has “reluctantly decided that she will not attend the State Opening of Parliament tomorrow.”

The statement concluded by sharing that Prince Charles will take over her duties at the event.

“At Her Majesty’s request, and with the agreement of the relevant authorities, The Prince of Wales will read The Queen’s speech on Her Majesty’s behalf, with The Duke of Cambridge also in attendance,” it read.

Queen Elizabeth II contracted COVID-19 in February. Although Charles, 73, shared in March that his mother was doing “better,” mobility issues in the elderly can be a side effect of the coronavirus.
