ABC Analyst Wrongly Calls Iran Nuclear Deal a ‘Treaty,’ Says U.S. Is ‘In Violation’

ABC News political analyst Matthew Dowd wrongly referred to the Iran nuclear deal as a "treaty" Sunday while bemoaning President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw from the agreement and reimpose sanctions on Tehran.

Dowd, who calls himself a "proud independent," agreed with reporter Cecilia Vega's fretting on "This Week" about internal divisions within the Trump administration over getting out of the Obama-era accord, NewsBusters reported .

ABC needs to announce a retraction for the inaccurate reporting by its employee.


a treaty is a legal agreement between countries and can only be enacted by 2/3 approval of the Senate, which Obama failed to do.

Instead, Obama simply enacted an executive agreement, a political deal, which has no legality whatsoever.

Believe it or not, it isn't even an Executive Agreement.  Obama's own State Department said that was not even a signed document at all.

In addition to that.... Iran never "signed onto or agreed" with the so-called 'deal'.  It's worthless, IOW.  But the leftists know that.  They're just LYING, per usual.
